Slow and easy TM workout.  I have been stretching and icing the IT band.  I hope the problem doesn't get any worse.  I threw out my old shoes and that seems to help a little.

Glad you were still able to get some miles in. I saw a PT with my IT and he gave me some really good stuff to do for it. Hopefully the newer shoes will help...if not see if you can get into a PT to help, especially with Boston coming! You're doing great, keep up the hard work!!

Yep, nip the problem early and you'll be good for Boston. Your mileage is looking awesome.

We're planning to run JRP this Sat. Come run with us. How many are you doing? I'm debating between 17 with 14 at mp or a slow 20. Will see what the body says on Sat.

Bec, do you rotate 2 pairs of shoes? Once I started doing that, my IT problems have subsided a lot. I still have to stretch mega but keep up the good work.

I looked up "IT Band" on Wikipedia because I had no idea what that was. But it provided a brief description of some causes for aggravation and how to address the pain. It sounds like you are doing the right thing.

Smooth,

I would love to run with you guys on Sat. I might start really early on see you guys on the trail. I have a meeting later that morning. I don't think my leg will permit 17. I was aiming for about 14 on Sat.

Walter,

I will take your words of advice and rotate shoes.

Jeffers,

Thanks for the "IT Band" support. This is an injury that I have witnessed in the past. I know that it can get extremely painful if it goes ignored.

Walter,

I'm not sure what time we are starting on Saturday. Last time we started around 7:30, so probably the same time.
