Running With the Bulls 5k 2011: 20:02, 1st place

Race For The Cure 10k, San Antonio 2013: 42:47, 2nd overall

Run a sub 3:20 @ Air Force Marathon 2015.

Sub 20 min 5k

Run a 3(ish) hour marathon before I am 40.

New running month!  This next week I am cutting my miles to about 40.  I am sad, but I do not want this IT problem to get any worse. 

I biked for 30 min.  I then took an extremely slow and easy pace on the treadmill.  The IT is bothering me on the outside of my right knee.  It felt strange for about the first 1 1/2 miles, then the pain went away.  I have iced my leg, but I don't know what else I should so.  Please give advice!

Hope that your doing stretches that directly stretch your ITB. Do you have some good stretches for it??

Stretch, stretch, stretch. If you're familiar with Yoga, pigeon is a great one. Anything that stretches the outside of the leg, or hip openers. Sorry about the IT thing... UGGHHH! Mine came back at me in Myrtle Beach when I hadn't felt it for over 10 months. It really stinks, but ice and stretching is the best I've found to help. Good luck, and definatley take the miles slow and cross train...it will help!

Thanks for the input. I will be doing some nice stretching tonight. Just when you think you can put the ice bag back in the closet, you have to pull it out again.

RAD, did you know that one IT band can hold the entire weight of your body? They are really cool looking too.
