Awww, one of the best long runs I have ever had.  Perfect company. perfect temp, and perfect environment.  I felt like I pulled some nice marathon pace miles.  Overall it took me 3:08 to complete the 22.  By the end my body felt like it had ran only 18 miles.  I felt rejuvenated after the run was over.

It was cool to meet and run with some of the runners from the blog.   Good luck to all of you in your upcoming races.  I know that I don't talk much, but I love to listen to your stories.  I would love to run with everyone again.

About 8 weeks until Boston.  I feel pretty confident about the race.  The goal is to run at a nice pace and to take in the moment.  Wouldn't mind re-qualifying.  I would like to surprise myself.

Came home and sat in a nice ice-bath.

Smooth, thanks for taking me with you on the long run today.

It was great to meet you! You are an awesome runner and you will do great in Boston, I have no doubt!

How did you and Scott even run together, he does not talk much either?!? It must have been quiet.

Kelli,

It was so nice meeting you too! That was such a fun running bunch. It was kinda quiet when I ran with Scott. We found out that he knows my uncle from his work. So we talked about him for awhile. Then I just tried to stick with his pace. He's fast.

From Kelli on Sat, Feb 21, 2009 at 15:50:05

He is fast. I try to not KEEP up with him on Saturdays. It is my day off from running fast! He is a MACHINE, and you held your own! So, that leads us all to the conclusion: YOU ARE FAST!

Have a great weekend.

Thanks Kelli.

Bec,

I'm so glad you had a great run and NICE job keeping up with Scott. You are FAST. Sorry I couldn't run with you and talk your ears off which was probably a good thing.

You are SO SO SO ready for Boston. I hope you "surprise" yourself too. Either way, you're gonna PARTY at Boston.

Wow Bec, I didnt know you ran with my buddies on Sat. Now Im jealous I didnt get to meet you and smooth and the others I missed on here. What did they think of you running a long run in your dress? ;)

From RAD on Mon, Feb 23, 2009 at 00:21:42

hahaha, Walter you crack me up! Bec, it was great running with/behind you, even if that dress did get tangled in my feet a few times when you were next to me :) I'll have to try to keep up with you sometime, you are one speedy girl and at the end you seemed like you could do another 10! So inspiring. Keep up the hard work and hopefully we'll see you again soon.

Walter,

Well the ladies I ran with are all buying dresses to run in. They were jealous of the way it floated through the wind. However, Rachel is correct, I did take a few people out with it. (I think that's why they all want to invest in the "running dress.")

RAD,

You are so awesome! THANK YOU THANK YOU for letting me run with you. It is so much more motivating for me to run in the presence of a group. Don't be afraid of the marathon you are training for...you will ROCK it!

From Walter on Mon, Feb 23, 2009 at 20:28:41

Bec, see what happens when you make a fashion statement! Im interested to see how many people (im not limiting this to just the ladies) follow suit in the next marathon I run. haha By the way they werent jealous of the way your dress floated in the wind, they were jealous of how the dress created the wind. It will be a great investment. Especially if it takes out your competition. ;)
