Running With the Bulls 5k 2011: 20:02, 1st place

Run a sub 3:20 @ Air Force Marathon 2015.

Run a 3(ish) hour marathon before I am 40.

1 hour spin class with Skinny Danny.  I haven't been to his class in a long time and I did rather well.  I kept up to his pace most of the time.  He still is crazy.

Pool running for an hour.  My body was cool but my face was warm and sweating.  HR still did not climb.  Rather a great workout!

Tendon hurts more now.  Getting really frustrated.  Seems  like every six months my body just does not want to run.  It yells at me and makes me stop somehow.   I have never faced this injury.

i'm sorry, bec. just give it a bit of time and when in doubt, be overly cautious. something that has really, really helped me is heel/toe walking. walk on your heels until your shins can't take it anymore, then walk on your toes until your calves have had enough. repeat. it really helps loosen up the lower legs. i do it almost every day now and it helps a ton.

good job with the cross training. that's tough stuff you did today!

I have never heard of that Allie. I am just imaginig you walking down the street on your heels. Hee hee. Good mental image.

Walking on the ball of the foot would be like walking on releve if you were dancing. The concept makes sense and I am going to try it! My family is going to give me some really strange looks.

yes, it looks silly. i do it at liberty park a lot, but fortunately i don't get too many strange looks because everyone there is always doing something absurd :)

as a dancer, you will be able to pull it off with grace. i just look goofy.

Becca, I don't know what to say...maybe the running gods are forcing you to chill before the wedding? I don't know, I'm just really bummed about this - REALLY! Who am I going to date now?

I am happy to see that skinny Danny is still spinning away. I should've sent my best wishes to the class! :) Sorry you didn't feel like the HR got up, but I know you x-train well and that you come back to running quickly!! Hang in there girl. Maybe we should just do lunch some Saturday to get our weekly date in :)

Oooo I hope get better quick. Do lot's of stretches and exercises (like what Allie said). That always helps the most!
