| | Started out with Cross Hollows, then hooked onto Cookie Jar. Once I got to the top of the hill I felt adventurous and went up another hill, then when the road hooked up with another I took it until it turned into a dead end. But that didn't stop me! Took some four wheeler trails until I ran into a construction site, which is where I realized I didn't even know if the trails were going to lead to the road I was hoping they would. But I didn't admit defeat! Kept going and found that they did in fact lead to that road :) went past the aquatics center and took Dikes back home. It's going to be a change to go from hot and dry to hot and humid, I'm excited for it but also not because I've heard heat and humidity can be miserable. The dryness was getting to me today but I know I'll probably miss it in a few months. Though I am excited to go down to 1000 ft elevation instead of 6000, even dropping to 4000 (Salt Lake) feels awesome so I bet running in Missouri is going to feel amazing. |

| | Hiked the C trail with Maddy (9.5 miles). I wonder what the running equivalent would have been? It was a solid workout on its own, took about 4 hours (it's pretty steep). When we got home Paige and Morgan had decorated the house with balloons for an early birthday party! I have the best teammates. |

| | VA loop, 4 miles. My runs have been 7:55 to 8:00 pace, nice and relaxed which feels awesome. I'm becoming more like the average American, running solely to stay in shape. Oh also to have fun, but that's probably what separates me from them. The average American most certainly thinks running is torture, only those of us dedicated enough to get past the wall of death (AKA actually getting in shape) can experience the joys of running. Luckily I'm not (yet) down to the level of making completely unrealistic new year's resolutions only to discover getting in shape actually requires effort. |

| | Wasatch loop again, it's getting toasty! Granted I ran at the hottest part of the day. Had trouble breathing today, allergies? Kneecap pain is back, I will be icing it later.

| | Bruised my foot playing soccer barefoot so that was smooth. Today I could feel my hip was out of place so I did my best to get it back in. Did Shriner's run, felt pretty good. 8:06 average. |

| | VA loop. Started out real slow at 8:50 first mile and brought the pace down, fastest mile being 6:45. Averaged out at 7:45. Felt good to open up the stride. It must be my time for stupid injuries. Whacked the back of my heel on my dresser, it kind of hurts to walk now. We'll see about running tomorrow. |

| | Went on a walk with Olivia, was limping the first half but the pain numbed towards the end. I think I'm gonna play it safe and take today off so that I don't screw something else up by limping. |

| | Biked with Isaac up the zoo trail, was a good workout! Met a guy who is running his 399th marathon tomorrow. He has run a marathon in every state plus DC, as well as on every continent. He has run a marathon a month for the past 270 something months. #goals |

| | VA loop. Took a different way back home, going up Sunnyside. Breaking my running habit is going to be much harder than I originally thought. I've been busy the past couple days which I thought would distract from running (especially since I'm not training for anything, I'm just running to stay in shape) and even then I couldn't stop thinking about it and felt guilty for not running. Why am I guilty? I'm going to be out of shape on my mission so why am I still trying to stay in shape? I just love running too much. I've accepted the fact that I'll be out of shape on my mission but I think it's the transition from being fit to being out of shape that terrifies me.

| | Wasatch loop. 7:57 average. Was definitely feeling the days I took off, maybe I will just wait until I get to the MTC to stop caring about being in shape. And who knows, maybe I will be walking or biking more than I think I will on my mission.
