ran from home to TOU course in Millville then out hollow road. found Paul about where I was planning on turning around anyway so I turned around and decided to see how long I could stay with him-- which was maybe a half mile at most since he was cranking out 5:20 miles. Then ran a tempo rest of the way back to Paul's car for 1.85 miles total at 6:11 average pace, chatted in sign language with Paul for a few minutes  then easy back home.

Scott, the company that timed the race is called race day timing. They made milliseconds look wonderful. They had me with a gun time of 18:19 [which I think is accurate]chip time 19:11 and now that it's posted they have me at 18:08 for both gun and chip. I could make a pretty long list of other things that were screwed up about them but I don't want to take up that much of your blog space. Good luck at Bolder Boulder next week.

Dave, geez what a disaster. great they gave you 11 seconds back! there is a 5K in Providence June 4- I think you ran it last year- there is an outside chance I might go to yellowstone that weekend but if not I will run it, hope to see you there.

Bonnie- comedy is my backup plan should science fail me :-)

I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it either but might try if I can. It was pretty decent for a small race. $5 entry, good turnout, some competition [there were a few kids in the 17s and 18s] and they had a great raffle. They even had a treadmill or eliptical.

We're going up to Yellowstone also but a couple of weeks later.
