At about 2 in the afternoon I ran 4 miles. I run up around in the avenues to get some good steep hills in the strengthen my legs before the cross country season actually started. I run up I street till I got to 11th avenue then I turned in there till I got to shriners hospitol then I ran down the hill untill I got to south temple and the I just finnished out the 4 miles. After my run I wasnt really tired as more as my legs hurting. I could tell that I need to strenghthen my legs a bit so I can get not only stronger but faster in my times and be able to run a lot longer at a good steady pace. Overall this run was a good productive run that I need to do more of.

At 7:30 this morning we had our first cross country summer workout. We went to sugarhouse park and did the state course that we will be racing in October. I liked the state course a ton because there was a ton to look at so when you are running you dont get bored of the same surroundings, the surroundings keep changing and its nice. I think I could of gone faster and pushed a bit more but I think I was doing OK for being the first workout and being the first time I have ever ran that course. I think we should do more hills to strengthen our legs so we as a team can increase our times.

At 7:30 this morning my cross country went to the sunnyside park run. We did about 2.5 miles before we started the workout as a good warmup for the speed. After the warmup we went on a 2.5 mile run around the park doing fartleck. I felt really tired when we had to do the cool down minute but when we were sprinting the minute it felt so much easier and a ton more fun. I got a PR in my mileage from doing the sprinting fartleck from how fun it was. I think we should do more of that kind of workouts.

In the morning at 7:30 I went out and did a trail run up by the zoo. It was 7 miles in total. I felt really good going up the hills but they got me really tired. If I could work on the hills some more I will be able to do that trail no problem. Overall the run for today was really good on my and on my muscles.

Today I couldnt go to my XC practice but I went running at the track. I decided to only to 3 miles but time my mile and my 800. My 800 time today was a 2:15 which is the fastest I have ever done in my life. My mile time was a 5:17 which is really fast because I only broke 6 minutes in one race in my track season. I know that I am getting stronger and becoming a better runner becase my times shows it. I hope my XC times become this good because I will be one of the fastest runners on the team. I felt really good while I was running the mile. I was tired at the end but while I was running it I thought it was a ton of fun. I enjoyed todays run a ton and I think I should do this once a week to increase my time for my track season so I can be as good as I possibly can.

I ran at 7 at night and I loved it. It felt so good in the cool and the sun wasnt gleeming down on me so I wasnt loosing that extra energy. I went for 6 miles non stop just running up and down different streets. weaving in and out of places. I thought it was a ton of fun. I went at a slow pace just to go and loosen up my legs because I have been pushing it all week. I was hitting about a 8 minute mile for it because I just wanted to go for a nice long slow run to have fun. It was good and now my legs dont hurt because I loosened them up. It felt really nice.

At 7:30 this morning I went for my XC run and I got lost so many places. I ended up only doing 5 miles but it took so long because I couldnt find my way back to the park where we met. I was doing a good steady pace says my Garmin but I just kept turning the wrong way so I didnt think I was doing so well. I was the last person back which made me sad but it wasnt my fault, I kept getting lost. I need something that can show me where to go like a map or a GPS. After the XC adventure I went up to the avenues and ran 4 miles around the avenues. Im doing the hills three times a week to get my legs stronger so I could be the best runner I can be. I like the hills because sure it hurts but at the end you feel really good. I cant wait to race the Varsity people and see how I do against them. Hopefully the hills do good for me because they feel like they are doing wonders.

I went 4 miles in the afternoon because I slept in and missed my XC practice. I went at a race speed  because it was hot and I wanted to get it over with but also to see if I could. I did and it felt so much better than just going at a nice easy pace. I like to go faster and be tired its more fun and while im running I dont feel tired. It also makes me a better runner the more I do it.

At 7:30 in the morning my XC team went to the bonneville shoreline trail. Our coach made me run with rocks till the top to add to the collection because he has everyone who runs it carry two rocks to become stronger and to add to the collection of all of the rocks. After I did the trail I went to I street and Ran that. Its mostley uphill so it makes it harder to run but also it feels good to do it. Its only a 5K all the way around it but its the hardest  5K I have ever done. It starts at the bottom of I street and I run up that untill I get to 11th avenue then I turn left towards the cemetary and I run down that street. Its so hard because there is no shade for 1.5 miles and I ran it in the heat of the day so I got really hot. Then you go down untill you get to south temple. It is really hard to run but you get a really good workout from it.

At 7:30 in the morning my XC team met at cottonwood complex. We did a 3 mile warmup and then strectched a bit. We did some 200 meter strides then we did the hills. The hill is 500 meters long and we did 5 of those. I was really tired but during them I felt pretty good. After the hills and strides we did the region 5K course. We did that for our cool down and all of that added up to be 8 miles. After that We all went to jamba juice haha. Suzzette dropped me off at cottonwood complex again and I ran to my grandmas house which was one more mile so I could just stretch out my legs because they were pretty tight.

At 7:30 in the morning I went up to I street run again and I ran that. I can feel that im getting better at it because im getting faster while im running it. I felt really good today while I was doing it. Sure my legs got tired but not nearly what they used to. I like this run because it trains me for the hills we do at races because non are this big so while people slow down on the uphill I will beable to speed up and pass them because I would be used to big hills already and it makes your legs stronger overall. I need to get mine stronger because I can go the distance just not very fast.

Today at 7:30 in the morning my XC team met at sugarhouse park for our workout. We did 7 miles today but we did a hills workout so it was a good workout that makes you really work. We did a 2 mile warmup and I went at a good pace for a warmup but I could of gone a bit faster. We did 3 miles of strides and hills after the warmup, during the hills my thigh started killing me. It felt like I pulled a muscle in it but after I did some more hills again it went away. When we were doing the core stuff it started hurting again. Im going to ice it again and see how it feels later on a little run. Overall I thought today was a good workout that is going to benefit me very well.

At night I went to the track and did 2 miles of a race speed. I went to I street after that and did that run. I felt really good after that because I went at a fast steady pace and did the whole 3 miles at 22:00 minutes. It felt so much better doing it in the night when it wasnt really cold but the heat wasnt killing you. It was right in the middle of those twp and that made me go faster. I like this run because it does everything for you, it gives you hills and speed and a really good cool down and warmup which is everything you need for a good strong workout.

I did 5 miles just running around my neighborhood. I went at a slow but steady pace because I just wanted to stretch out my legs. I felt really good during the whole run and after the run. I liked it because it helped my leg not to hurt as bad because off and on it just hurts. This run at the beginning hurt a bit but then towards the end of the run it started to feel a ton better and a ton stronger. I think my leg just had a pulled muscle in it so its not that big of a deal unless it starts hurting a ton worse then it could be something a ton more serious.

At night time I went and did the I street run again. It felt really good today because I can feel that my legs are getting stronger so I can do more and go faster. I went faster today because A. it was getting dark and im not allowed to run at night when it is dark outside and B. becasue I kept running into people that I know and when I see people that I know I seem to go a ton faster. I like this run because it does a ton for me. It makes me faster and stronger while it makes my endurance better at the same time all in a 5k run.

Today at 7:30 I had a XC practice at liberty and all we did was 3 miles. We did only this because we all have a race tomorrow and our coach Bill wanted our legs rested and ready for the race so that we can race better and get as good a time as we possibly can. I liked the run but I hate liberty. The park seems so big to me and it seems that it never ends. My leg started hurting on the second lap so I had to stop and stretch it out which made it feel better but then everytime I started to go a bit faster it started to hurt again and I dont want to further my injury so I just went at the slow pace. I need to do more flat courses becasue im good at hills but not very good at flat surfaces.

On saturday I ran the freedom half marathon and 5K. I thought the whole time that I won my age division because I got a medal for winning my age division but I actually got 2nd says the results on the website. I got 15th overall out of everyrunner and I was the youngest runner out of the top 50 people. I had a good pace but I should of gone faster and stayed with suzzette. I liked the race but it seemed really long while running through the canyons. I need to work on canyon running because it seems really hard to me.

Today at 7:15 I went to another XC practice and we did the cemetary run. I was supposed to do the full 7 but my leg started acting up around the streets so stopped and stretched it out and it felt a ton better. I lost susannah and natalie and suzzette who i was running with so I went up and found myself at del taco. I went back and saw abigail and becca so I decided to run with them. We got lost but ended up doing six miles just by weaving in and out of streets trying to find the cemetary. I went faster at the end because I felt that we were going to slow and I knew where we were then so I just went faster and finnished. My finnish pace was what I should of done the whole time because it felt really good. I can tell that i am very  much improving.

Today at 7:15 in the morning I went to my XC practice and we did the JCC trail run behind the JCC swimming pool. I had a ton of pain going up there so I decided to take it slow going up then get faster to a good time on the way back. The more I run on my leg it hurts at the start of the run but towards the end of the run it starts to feel really good like I need to go slow at the biginning for a warmup then get progressivcly faster. I like the trail and I think I should push harder on them because trails are my biggest weakness. I suck at them so much. I am good at hills but not at trails. I need to start to push a ton more on the trails. So I can stay with the faster people on everything.

At 7:15 I had a XC practice and we did Js. Those are we sprint about 200 meters then slow jog the other 200 meters. I felt so horrible during them. Either my legs arent used to speed anymore or something is up again. It was my phemere that ws hurting so I stopped and stretched it out a ton. After that I went and did the I street run with my parents and I felt really good while doing that. I loved it. I can tell that it is working because im getting faster at it and my legs are getting stronger.

Today at 8:00 in the morning I slept in so I couldnt go to XC practice so I went on my own run for 4 miles at a good happy pace not to fast but not to slow. At about a 7:30 pace just as a guess. I liked the run because I got some hills in but not to many and so good flat which felt really good on my legs. After that I had track practice so I went to that and I did two miles of speed with tomy which also felt really good. We were doing some stuff to work on form and speed for the mile. Overall today was a good running day even though I slept in.

At night my XC team had the slurpee run with the team from Illinois. I liked the run and eating the slurpee while your running, its really fun. The team from illinois didnt talk much until after the run because they didnt know us at all but after the run i guess they knew us a bit more because they were talking to us a whole lot more. When I was running it I got lost a whole ton while trying to find all of the seven elevans, overall the begginning was good then the end i was feeling really sick and my stomach was really hurting.

Today my XC team was running at the bike and run pavilion place up millcreek canyon. I hated this trail so much. My legs were killing me and it was really hard to do. I need to work really hard on those because the trail runs are my biggest weakness so i need to push the hardest on those. Today i was pushing it pretty hard and i liked the pace we were going. My legs kept hurting on the downhill I dont know why but they were. I almost fell off the side of the mountain coming down on the switchbacks and the thing that saved me was a tree so once again a tree helps me out when im about to die.

today at XC practice we did 7.5 miles and it was hard because we did 400s and hills at the same time. I liked the hills because they dont hurt my legs like down hills do. I couldnt go to my XC practice today because we are haveing a ton of car troubles so I decided to go to Steiner and run there so I ran 8.5 miles there and then I ran home from steiner which was another 1.5 miles. I liked today because i got my entire run done really early in the morning it felt good

today i went to my XC practice over at wheeler farm. We did 4 800s while timing them. We were supposed to get faster or stay at the same time of all of them. I got slower on the second one but then i got faster on the third by 13 seconds and on the last one i got faster by 4 seconds. then we did a 2 mile warmup and a 2 mile cool down.

After XC workout i went to steiner and ran on the treadmill for an extra two miles and it was fun because i saw a lot of people there that i havnt seen in a long time

Today at XC we did the flag pole run. ME and abigail go lost on a few of the streets and we ended up doing a bit more hills than we were supposed to but it was all for the best. I liked todays run a lot even though we could not find the drinking fountain at all at the flag pole. 

After XC practice i went to steiner and i ran 2 extra miles to finnish out to ten for today. I liked it because i took them nice and easy because my legs were sore and stiff from todays workout earlier that day. overall today was a nice and comfortable day for me

Today I went on a run on my own and I went up the canyon. I went 3.5 miles up the canyon because i live 1.5 miles away from the start of it so i went 5 miles out and then just came back so I did 10 today just to finnish out my weekly miles. I liked this run a lot but it was hard going up the canyon. Coming back down was a lot of fun though haha

Today I ran to steiner which is 1.5 miles from my house. then i did 10 on the treadmill every other mile i would go uphill then go back to flat when the mile ended. It was nice because the flat was like a recovery then i could push on the uphill. It was a good strategy for today. Then i did a 1.5 mile cooldown by running home from steiner.

At XC practice we did 8 miles of a workout. We did 3 one mile repeats, on those repeats my times were really bad. My first mile was 7.09 then 7.18 then my couch had me do a 800 instead of a mile and my time was 3.19 which is also really bad. After taht workout i went 2 while it was raining. It felt realy nice

I actually did go on a run even though I was not planning on it. i went three miles and they were nice even though my legs were tired because of the pool. I had to push becasue it was dark and i dont like running in the dark while i am alone

Today we had a morning saturday workout for my XC team. We started with a 2 mile warmup then we ran to highlands track and did 1 mile of speed changes there. I was feeling really good at this point. I was going with susannah and natalie but on the last two laps i left them and just wanted to finnish so i went faster. After the speed changes we did a timed mile. My time was 6:45, I was sad about this time because i knew i could of gone faster but I thought we were doing more of the miles so i wanted to stay consistant. I think i should of done a 6:30 but oh well. After the timed mile we did 6 4oos. I was supposed to do 1:45 pace for all of them but i did a 1:29 for all 6. I was amazed how consistant i was cause usually i am all over the place. After the 4oos we did 6 strides on the grass we finnished with a 1.5 mile cool down. Overall i loved this workout. We should do it a lot more because it was fun.

Today we had a morning and afternoon workout. in the morning we did one mile warmup, mile of speed changes, then 10 hills on the hill with a mile cool down, I liked this run because i love running up this hill. In the afternoon i went to xc and we did speed. We did mile warmup, mile of speed changes, and then 6 400s, and 6 200s. It was an ok run because i like speed but it was hot. The back of my knee was killing me the whole time. After that we did mile cool down. it was a painfull day

Today at xc we did the shriners run. That run is only 5 miles but after that i felt really good so i did an extra mile at the track. Running to shriners went by really really fast. I looked up and noticed that we were there. It was weird. It was over in like 35 minutes. I liked getting done early

This morning i went to sugarhouse and did 2 big laps around the park, At that point i was at 4.5 and then i had to run home to make it an even 5 miles. My knee was hurting pretty bad but I stopped at the park and stretched it out but i dont know how to but after i stretched it it felt really good. Tomorrow i have to remember to stretch a ton before my race.

I went to boise idaho with my xc team. We ran in the Bob Firman invite. I thought That I did pretty well because not many people got a PR but I did. I liked this course a ton. It was challanging but good. I had an OK start but I should of started out faster. My first mile was 6.26 which I thought was OK. My mile and half time was 9.10 which I thought was way fast so i slowed it down a bit to a 6.50 mile for my second mile. My third I lost it and got a 7 something. I liked this race overall because 0f the course, my time, and I was second from east. Before the race I did a 2 mile warmup around the area and then I did the course backwards for a 3 mile cool down.

Today was one of the best races of my life! I started out doing a 3.25 mile SLOW warmup to really loosen up my legs. I then did 5 strides at the race start line to really loosen them up not including all of the stretches I did in between. So the gun went off and I was ready. I started out the race at a good pace but I think that I could of started a bit faster and stayed with the guys up front. So my first mile time was 6:28 which was 2 seconds faster than I wanted it to be so it was perfect because this ment that I had a leeway with my other miles if I needed to use those last 2 seconds if I had to. My 2 mile time was 13:00 minutes flat, which was where I wanted it to be exactly but I used the 2 seconds I had spare. So I could see the finnish line but it was still 1 mile away so I decided to push it to get there faster, luckily I did otherwise I wouldnt of made my time. So I used the energy of the croud and whatever energy that I had left to push that last 800 meters to the finnish line. I wanted to be in the top 3 guys from East but I was fourth by .7th of a second. Made me Furious. But still it was one of the best races of my life. I stayed totally consistent on all 3 miles which is what I wanted to do anywase!.!.!.!.
