Married with 2 lively boys. I love running and I love getting faster. Just trying to figure out how to balance life between being a mother, wife, part time nurse, and runner. :)

When I was in 6th grade I filled out a Getting to Know You sheet. Under nicknames I wrote, "My brothers call me Boo Legs, I think its because I run fast." (It really came from the movie, Strange Brew) And its been my family nickname ever since.

1 mile warm up. Mile repeats x4 with 1/2 mile recovery. I did this on a treadmill so each one was right at 6:40. This workout is so much harder on a treadmill!

Easy run. As long as I'm upright, my back doesn't hurt. Its when I try to bend over that feel like an old lady.

Breaking up the run into segments made it go by so much faster. 6 miles easy. 3 miles at marathon pace (7:32, 7:31, 7:18) 2 easy miles. 3 marathon pace miles (7:25, 7:25, 7:23) 2 miles cool down. My goal marathon pace is 7:25-7:30. I felt good. Much better than last weeks long run.
