I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run 

Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s. 

Short-Term Running Goals:

Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.

Personal:

I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.

AM: 6.5 miles up and down Grandeur Peak. Today is my 59th birthday and the 26th time I've climbed Grandeur since my last birthday.

Happy belated birthday, also. Wow- 59th! And Grandeur once every 2 weeks is impressive.

BTW, did you see how Jake Krong did at the Bear 100? 2nd overall, just minutes ahead of 3rd and 4th. I wish he still blogged here.

Hey Jon - Yes I did see. My daughter babysat the Krong child while he was running. Jake was running really strong until after 50 miles and then had major hamstring issues. I can't believe he held off the 3rd and 4th runners for so long. The third place guy won the last Wasatch 100 and the 4th place guy ran a 2:15 marathon last year so lots of talented runners this year. I was very proud of him :-)

I remember seeing Stop Making Sense when it first came out, I was a senior in high school. They brought in extra sound equipment to the theater to give it a live concert effect. Pretty cool that it is back again.
