Fifty years old today. There's no denying it...I'm officially middle age now. :-)

I'd also like to wish former president Jimmy Carter a happy 90th birthday today. That means he was turning 40 the day I was born.

I have a student in my first period class who is turning 17 today. So she was born on my 33rd birthday. Sheesh!

PM: 6.25 miles at cross country practice. Plus some push-ups, sit-ups, and lunges. Plus a quick soak in the hot tub. Now 4 more hours of parent-teacher conferencing!

Guess who else was born on 10/1? Hall of Famer Rod Carew - he converted.

Hope to see you guys this weekend. Happy bday. I know the feeling of age. My co pilot this week was 25. I'm starting to feel like a dad at a job where I was always the young guy.

From Jason D on Wed, Oct 01, 2014 at 22:36:29 from 68.80.27.222

Happy birthday, Rob. Hopefully the parent-teacher conferences weren't too painful. Looks like the boys did quite well today though.

From Rob Murphy on Wed, Oct 01, 2014 at 22:46:21 from 24.10.247.181

You know Jason, this year's team is one of my favorites. They're just a solid group. If I can get them to believe in themselves a little more, I just might have something.

From Josh E on Thu, Oct 02, 2014 at 09:08:36 from 205.235.104.4

Wow - I'm glad I commented on this to get Fritz's list.

Is it debatable that Glenn Beck was born in 1964 or that he is human? I think we can all agree that he's important inasmuch as he is the antichrist.

From Fritz on Thu, Oct 02, 2014 at 10:52:40 from 65.116.116.6

to clarify, it is debatable whether he should be in the list. I don't have any reason to believe that he wasn't born in 1964. Of course everyone and all events listed are debatable.

From Rob Murphy on Thu, Oct 02, 2014 at 12:25:11 from 163.248.33.220

Man, Chris Farley would be 50?

Some people should die young.
