| | 8 miles on the dirty dreadmill. Speed intervaling for 3.5 miles. Hoping this gets my vo2 up!
3 more miles running up on the trails near Spanish Fork Canyon. I think it as more than 3 miles, but I forgot to turn on my watch. I will just log what I know for sure here. Hot and sweaty time out there though.
| |
| | No running today. My feet felt kind of flared up so I elliptical hell'ed my life away for an hour and 8 minutes.
|
| | 8 miles. A 5 miler outside on the Trail and horse corner. Tempo style. Trying to hover around a 7:15 or less. Just testing my legs out. 3 miles 30 minutes later on the dreadmill 8:10 pace. The little jaunts of speed work I do once or twice a week seem to be helping a bit.

| | 7 miles on my river trail loop (twice around). Not sure of my avg pace yet, need to upload my watch to strava first. Can't believe that just 4 weeks ago I was walk/running intervals to try to gain back fitness. And now I am smooth gliding 7 milers. So thankful.

| | Speed work. It's getting eaiser and I only do it once a week b/c I don't want to see or nurse another injury :-)
|
| | Bennie creek trail run was so fun. Got home and ran 3.5 more on the river trail. |
| | Tempo run. 2 mile w/u then 4 mile tempo 6:50 pace. This made me sweat like niagra falls. Sick. | |
| | 6 mile progression. Then I did hill sprints on the tready x6. But I didn't count that mileage in. Somehow I don't feel like it counts. But it totally kicked my butt doing them! | |
| | 7 miles river trail. My leg had a weird pain flare up last week. I took of Tues-Friday andI think everything is feeling much better now. Gotta be careful nowadays

| Race: |
Provo City 5k (3.1 Miles) 00:20:03 | | I wasn't sure if I would actually show up and race this. My right leg has been hurting for about 3 weeks, and I had stopped training about 3 weeks prior. But I am sick of losing money the last few years for races I can't show up to. And my leg was feeling better so I thought I would show up. daughter was running the mile anyway and I love to run her in the last half mile so I went.
This is my slowest 5k time I think. Makes sense with a lack of training and running this last year. But still pleased that I can get my legs turning over. Splits were 6:36 6:30 6:50 Good enough for 2nd overall female today. I know I am not as fast and agile as I used to be, but getting that back will take time. But with the injury cycle I keep finding myself in, I may never get back there which makes me sad. As I got in the car to go home, I looked at my medal and I am poitive I was given the wrong medal and award.
My daugheter who is 9 ran the mile and finshed first female. She cruised in at about a 6:56 pace. So so awesome for a 9 yeard old. She is pretty driven. I love it!

| |
| | 4 on the river trail. Avg pace 7:28 | |
| | 3 miles running round Spanish Fork this morning. I love the cooler weather :)
| |
| | I never log miles anymore. But guess what? I am still out there running every week. Saturday is now turning into my 'long run" day. ha! 5 miles is nothing to brag over. But I figure in order to keep myself out of the injury pit, I am going to have to do the slowest mileage build up of all time. So each Saturday I add a half a mile and that is all I add in any week. By the time Spring gets here I will be so ready for a marathon. I will get there again. I know I will.

| | 4 miles today. Hurt my hip up hobble creek 2 weeks ago. Had to take a break to get it feeling better. Thankful it is!took it slow today, but it was still fun! | |
