| I met with the group at Bingham this morning. I ran a 3 mile warm up in 26 minutes. Way to fast. Then we ran 6 miles with 1/2 mile repeats at 10k pace with about a 1/2 mile recovery in between. Then I ran a 1.4 mile cool down with Cheris and Michelle. Average pace for the 10.4 miles was 8:32. My legs felt a little tired during the run. |

| I decided to run less miles and save my energy for the race tomorrow. I ran 3 miles with 8x100 meter pick ups in the middle. I ran very slow in between. Average pace 9:21. |

This was a PR by almost 3 minutes at this same race last year. Several of us from the running group met at 5:45 to help with the registrations. I was a little worried that we wouldn't get to warm up before the race. It turned out ok. I couldn't see Michelle M. or Cheris at the start. I started out with Lynette and Michelle N. My mile splits were 7:17, 7:20, 7:26, 7:41, 7:48, 7:21 and 6:41 for the final .20. It was fun to see so many familiar faces. Our running group did great. Peggy took 1st, Lynette took 3rd, and Jessica took 4th place overall. In my age group, Michelle M. took 1st, I took 2nd and Cheris took 3rd. (That is if you don't count Peggy and the 2nd place overall female in our age group.) Cheryl, Nancy, Debbie and Michelle N. placed in their age groups as well. Michelle M. came flying past me in the last mile. It makes me wonder if I had started out slower could I have finished faster? My husband Jerry did great and finished in 41 minutes. It was very windy and hot. This race is not the easiest so I am very happy with my time. |

| I ran with Michelle N. and her brother C.J. We started at my house and went down to the trail. It was great running weather. I felt good. I love that I am able to run up the hills without having to stop. I still have not figured out how to run faster on the downhills. I have been following Sasha's advice on how to train to qualify for Boston. So far so good. My average pace for this run was 8:47. That seems to be the pace for most of my easy paced runs. |

| Met with about 8 others from the group. We ran up 9800 S. to Glenmoor Village and back. I ran with Cheris, Michelle M. and Cheryl. I was sick all day Sunday, so I didn't have a whole lot of energy. Then I rolled my left ankle on the way back. The good news is I didn't fall this time. After walking on it for a few minutes it felt ok. Average pace 9:08. I went to Lagoon later in the day. I didn't feel very well, so I ended just watching my kids go on the rides. |

There were about 15 of us that met this morning at Cheris' house for our run. We headed to Riverton park and ran the 10k route. Then we took the long way back. I ran mostly with Cheris and Michelle M. My mile splits were 9:26, 9:02, 8:30, 8:43, 8:22, 8:14, 7:48, 8:58, 7:57(Michelle and I were trying to catch the group here), and 8:57. Average pace 8:36. Afterwards, we all said goodbye to Jessica. |

| Met the group at Parkway Palisades. We warmed up for 3.14 miles. Average pace 8:53. Then we did a fast 1/2 mile, mile and 2 mile run with a recovery run in between. I then ran a quick 1.6 miles by myself. Average pace for those 6 miles was 7:58. Then an easy cool down to hit 10 miles. The hills felt very hard today. Maybe it was the Cafe Rio salad I had for dinner. |

| When I woke up my legs felt so tired, I almost didn't run. I talked myself into going 3 miles. As soon as I started going my legs felt fine. I'm so glad I went. It was so nice to sleep in. I ran a flat 5.5 mile route from home. The pace felt great. Average pace 9:00. |

I ran 16 miles this morning with Michelle N. We started at my house and went up 11800 to 3600 W. The we went over to 9800 S. and up to Glenmore. The first 8 miles were mostly uphill. I was very tired the last few miles. We ran 3 minutes faster on the way back. This was my first week ever to hit the 60 mile mark. Average pace 8:52. |

| Met the group and the JR trail at 12300 S. 2.5 mile warm up with lots of hills. Average pace 9:14. Then we ran South to the end of the trail at 14400 S. and back. I was able to run and talk to a lot of different people in our group. It was a fun run. Average pace for those 7.5 miles was 8:34. |

I was hoping for 44 minutes, so I was happy with my time. I really need to practice my downhill form. I can feel that I hold myself back. After the race, we ran an easy 3 miles to cool down. We went back and watched Sasha finish the marathon. He was amazing to see. |

I met the running group at Bingham. We ran a 2.4 mile warm up. Then Cheryl had a tough speed workout for us. We ran through the neighborhoods around Bingham. Average pace 8:37 for 7.6 miles including cool down and recovery.
Later that night I went to the Crue Fest concert. My husband is a huge Motley Crue fan. We stood right in front of the stage for 6 1/2 hours. My legs were beat from the speed work and all the standing.
