Russian champion tries Crocs, commits to racing a marathon in them

Nikolay Chavkin in the video below did 3x1000, first two in Adidas carbon-fiber models, the last one in Crocs. Surprised by the result (2:52, 2:52, 2:50) with the fastest interval done in Crocs, he committed to racing a marathon in Crocs if the video gets 42K likes and 195 comments (for 42 km 195 m, the marathon distance). Nikolay's current marathon PR is 2:14:00. The video was created by a Russian sporting goods store chain. Their moto is "more sports - brighter life", which we think is wonderful, and also deserves a Like. If you want to see a fast marathon in Crocs, go to the video and click the Like button. And make sure to share it with your friends.

PM: 3.3-mile walk w/ Megan and the boys.

I opened up a few of my online courses. They were purposefully hidden as an FU to the administration, which no doubt made things stressful for students. It was not easy for us.

We took them to the subdivision park on the swings for a bit. A nice perk for paying $850 a year to live in our own house.

Worked on opening up my other classes. I was late, but wasn't sure what to do because I didn't know how long negotiations would go on.

We tried to begin our schedule to accomodate rest, work, time with the boys, etc. I need to run in the mornings to set the tone for the rest of the day.

Ran down Joslyn and the effort got high because I was on the side of the road and wanted to get back to the trail.

Highest mileage day since I don't know when. Dead tired but a good day.

We had our friends and their daughter (15 months) over for a bit in the afternoon. Felt a lot less lonely and isolated.

Probably going to drop out of riding Iceman and probably give up racing altogether for a while. It's been since November 2019 anyway. I haven't ridden in about a month. Just don't feel right taking too much time.
