I retired from the Army after 26 years of service in 2010. I moved home to Arizona. My wife and I are empty nesters. In 2016 I had stents placed in my heart after discovering coronary artery disease. Since early 2016 I have lost 30 lbs and got in much better shape. August 2017 I retired again. We served a mission to Mexico from October 2017 until April 2019.
Ran at the temple. total time 30:54. after my break for stretching I was running faster than I shoudl so i deliberately slowed a bit. the higher pace is coming easier these days. splots 9:02, 8:44, 8:50, 4:19.
this was a weird run... in between 4 and 5 miles my watch started indicating that I was running a lot slower and it marked the mileage differently. at my usual turn-around point I am at 4.85 miles in the run but today it was 4.77. later it had fallen to about 0.12 miles behind where it normally was and I hit the 6.5 mile mark quite a bit farther than usual (may 0.15 or 0.16 later). my total time came out to be 59 something but I am am only going to give my first 4 splits... 9:12, 8:57, 8:58, 9:00... the next came out at 9:45 and then 9:15 and then 4:31 but I don't know what to count. not sure if this was a problem with my watch or with the satellite?
total running time 67:55. ran at the Bosque. I felt awful. I haven't been sleeping well and my legs were dead. Ran with Alejandro He was really sore too so he was perfectly happy to run slow. splits 9:36, 9:28, 9:33, 9:29, 9:59, 9:55, 9:56.
