30 ext. I intended to do pushups ansd situps but I slipped and fell and strained (possibly tore) my right triceps this morning. I was walking down the stairs.
I still ran jsut without doing the situps and pushups.
total running time 43:22. 6 minutes warm up and almost 10 minutes cool down. tempo run. 5600 meters (7:56, 7:55, 7:53, 3:46)
got a physiology lesson. I went running shortly after I fell. My heart rate shot up into the 160's to 180's while I was first running. I think I had a "fight or flight" response to my fall as my arm hurt quite a bit. The heart rate actaully then settled into the 150's after the first 4 or 5 minutes of the tempo run. Thus...average HR 154 but max HR 186. |
