total running time 57:32. plan was to run with Alejandro but he texted early in the morning stating that he got more work and has a deadling of 10 am. so... i changed my plans. 3 x half mile uptempo. warm-up for 1 mile then 1 mile recovery in between each half mile. I stopped briefly before each hard run. At 5.5 miles I did 1 hard quarter mile. splits: 9:35, 4:03, 9:27, 3:59, 9:30, 4:03, 9:52, 7:03 (quarter mile in 2:04/2:05).
