My favorite marathon is SGM.I have ran 13 Marathons, will be during my first Ultra in march of 2013, it will be the Antalope Island Buffalo Run, a 50k.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Short term running goal is to increase my four days a week of running to five to six days a week.  Do more speed work this coming year. Bring my times down. I would like to do SGM in 4 hrs or less.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep up with my Brother Clay in a marathon, someday do a sub four hour marathon, and BQ.

Personal:

I have been married for 34Years, and am still madly in love with my wife Wendy. I have four children and six Grand children.

Another St. George Marathon come and gone, it's kind of anti climatic when the marathon is all done. You spend months, and months in preparing for one of these insane events. It becomes a part of your everyday life that you have to pay attention to if you at least what to finish. My muscles rebell for three or four days after these things, and yet I can't wait for the next one to come. Even though I'm not very good at marathoning, I do love the sport of runing. Runing is a great stress reliever, an outlet for me to make some sense of the test and challenges that we all seem to face from time, to time.

As ususal the SGM was not disappointing, the race directors have this down to a science, right down to the last stick of vasaline for calming down the irratation of chafing. Perfect starting area with all the amenities that anyone would need in such an event as this. For me this was one of my better marathons, not a PR by any means. But still a succsses with lots of room for improvement. I was blessed with the opportunity to run with my son Bryan this year. What a great young man and friend he is to me, runung this marathon with him is one of the greatest highlights of my life thus far, and we are both looking forward to next year. I did miss my brother Clay AKA (Rambo Jr.) who, for the last few months has been fighting injury after injurry, there is no doubt he will be with us next year. He will BQ next time around.

My physical goal for the coming year is to shed a whopping 20 pounds, I feel I need to take this step in order to meet my goal of BQing. I really want to disapline my eating habits and make greater inprovemets in my diet. So there you go, it's out thier now and with that I know I can succeed and get down to a better weight for runing marathons. Yoda baby, "Do or Do Not, there is no try."
