I have ran three marathons. SGM in 2005, Ogden in 2006, and SGM 2006. My best time in a marathon is Ut. Valley Marathon 3:59:46. I have ran seven half marathons, some 10k's and 5k"s. My favorite marathon is SGM.I have ran 13 Marathons, will be during my first Ultra in march of 2013, it will be the Antalope Island Buffalo Run, a 50k.
2008 SGM PR 4:02:23 The best is yet to come. Short-Term Running Goals: Short term running goal is to increase my four days a week of running to five to six days a week. Do more speed work this coming year. Bring my times down. I would like to do SGM in 4 hrs or less. Long-Term Running Goals: Keep up with my Brother Clay in a marathon, someday do a sub four hour marathon, and BQ. Personal: I have been married for 34Years, and am still madly in love with my wife Wendy. I have four children and six Grand children.

Happy New Year to all, I hope 2009 is a great year for everyone. For me 2008 was a great year, had some exciting things and not so exciting things happen. All in all it was a great year.
For my run today I went up around the golf course it was warm and a little on the windy side up around the canyon. As I came across the treeline road the elk were in closer, 4 nice bull elk. I could see the horns on all 4. Well gotta goin spend some time with the family, it should be a great day. |

| The past few days I have had a sore throat and a cold, kind of feveish and chills. I don't feel much like going out in the cold today and running. So I took the ball baby way out and did some time on the eliptical and 25 min of core strenghting. I hope tomorrow I will begin to feel better. Catch ya latter. |

| Still not feeling very well with my cold, but I needed to get outside for a run today. Very slow and easy just tryed to get it in and enjoy. I did see a big herd of elk in the riverbottoms. My guess about 50 to 75 head and a big bull. It was kind of cool to see. I did get in some core strenghtening also, and finished with 200 crunches. I hope tomorrow My cold is feeling better. |

| My cold is still hanging on, all though it is no worse. My run today took me up around the golf cours, the roads were alot better today a few snowed packed areas but for the mosr part snow free. The sun was out nice and brite and I only needed one layer and a vest. I ran in shorts today, kind if weird with a couple of feet of snow on the ground. It was nice and comfy run today. I did see the herd elk again they werefurther east and just west of the golf course today. I should be pulling out of this cold in the next day or two,cross my fingers. |

| Not as warm as yeaterday but still nice weather for a run. I did the bishop storehouse route today kind of felt a little on the sliggish side, but a very enjoyable run non the less. The elk are still in the river bottoms, not as many though. My cold is still hanging on just more of a hassel than anything. I am on the 7th day of having it so hopefully in the next couple I should notice a great improvement. It has been a great day and another great run. |

| Today I ran the golf course loop I did'nt feel to bad but I also have'nt ran for two days. So I took it nice and easy and just tryed to enjoy the run. I did not see any elk or deer which kind of stinks I don't no were they all went there is still lots of snow so I know that they did'nt go back up into the hills. I guess they are hideing somewhere. I finished todays workout with 200 crunches. |

| Nice run today a little on the cold side, I don't like this time of the year much you get the inversions and it makes the air kind of on the yuckkie side. It has been bad this week. I did the golf course route today, and the elk were back again just below the golf course on the RR ranch. Not as many as a week ago but still way cool to see. My legs felt good today and had lots of energy. Felt like pushing it the last few miles. I finished the workout today with 200 crunches. I would like to get a long run in tomorrow, we well see how it goes. Have a good one. |

| The inversion and the fog are getting very old quick. I want spring in a real bad way, I don't know if running in this bad air is good for me but I can't stand to do the eliptical. I did the golf course route today, thought that if I stayed up by the mouth of the canyon the air would be better, it's not as bad but still pretty murky. I did see the elk again today, they were a little closer to the road. They are sure neat to look at. There were also some deer running around today. That's why I like running in the river bottoms ya never know what you will see. I finished todays workout with 25 min of core strengthining, and ended with 200 crucnhes. It was a great run and another great day. Just livin the dream. |

| I decided to forgo outside running today due to the really bad air. They say we have the worst air in the country right now. Excercing out doors for an hour is the eqivelant of smoking two packs of smokes a day. I can feel it in my throat today. So I did the eliptical and finished with 25 min of core training, folowed by 200 crunches. |

| I think the air might of been a little better today, besides I could'nt stand it any longer I need to go for a ouside run. I did the the golf course loop again today and the temp was real comfy. I ran in shorts, and a long sleeve top with a vest, perfect running conditions temp wise anyway. I did see the elk again just west of the golf course, looked like they have moved in for a while. Finished todays workout with 25 min of core training, and 200 crunches. No injuries at this point I hope that the injury bug will stay away. I have a 10k coming up in march, so we want to stay injury free. |

| Woke up to another foot of snow this morn. Today is going to be a ski day withmy son Bryan. The company he works for has season passes up to Sundance so we will go and enjoy the fresh powder. Don't know if we will get a run in today the skiing may take it's toll for the day. |

I was surprised today that my legs were in good shape from yesterdays ski day. No real soreness at all in fact good energy and felt good. I did the the golf course loop, the roads were clear from yesterdays snow it was a real enjoyable run. I finished with 25 min of core training and 200 crunches.
The skiing yesterday was awesome lots of good powder and no crowds. Just ski and get om the lift. My son Bryan kicks butt on a snow board. It was a great day. |

| Todays I did the bishops store house in reverse, the first 2.66 mile mostly down hill. The rest were slight uphill the legs did feel a little whack today. | My run today took me on the bishop storehouse route, it was a tuff go today very windy cause we have another torm coming in tonight. I have been able to run in shorts all week it has been so nice in the afternoons. My first mile today was into the wind as was the last two. I got a good workout today. My legs the past two days have been on the real whack side but we somehow get through the run. I did 25 min of upper body weight training and finished with 200 crunches. It has been a stressfull week maybe that's why my legs have been a little more than whack this week. It was still a great run and a great day. |

Wow todays run had all kinds of different weather, at the start it was windy snowing hard and cold. By the time I made my way to the river bottoms via the bishops storehouse it was plesant and nice. then the further east I went up the river bottoms it started snowing hard with wind in my face. The last mile the sun was out, it was a strange run weather wise none the less. Spring time in the rockies ya got to love it. I had a little cold and sore throat over the weekend but I am feeling much better today. so I took the run on the easy side just did what my body would alow today. After my run I did 25 min of core strengthening and finished with 200 crunches. It was a great run and a great day. |

I can't wait in a few weeks we will be heading down o St. George to run the Spectrum 10k. Hopefully we will have great weather. | I'm off today because of Presidents Day, so I was able to get my run in this morn. Very difficult run with the wind blowing hard out of the canyon. I would say 20 mile an hr winds with gust they are very strong. I ran down in the river bottoms and crossing the tree lin e road there were snow drifts from the field and the snow was going sideways. Very hard to see and stay focused. It was all I could do to get the run in today. I did 25 min of upper body weight's today and finished with 200 crunches. I guess more snow is on the way for tonight and tomorrow. Cani't wait for spring. |

I ran and did Harry's Hill today, have not been to the top sense the end of Dec. There is still alot of snow on top but it is begining to melt. | Another nice warm afternoon run, I did it in the river bottoms again. The Wapiti are agone, but the Seagulls are back as they were all over the fileds. This is a good sign which means that spring is around the corner. I took yesterday off as my cold had kicked into high gear, it felt good to come home a just reat yesterday. I did feel alittle better today so I think the cold is on it's way out. I did 25 min of bowflex on the upper body, and finished with 200 crunches. |

| Nice day for a long run, I did the route that takes me to the top of Harry's Hill and back. The snow has melted alot in a week, last week when I went to the top there was alot of snow still hangin around. My legs felt good today had good energy just had very enjoyable time. I seen Kent Wing and stopped to talk for a few, he is thinking of doing Spectrum 10k in a few weeks. I am planning on going down along with my Bro. Clay and son Brian. should be a good time. Well it's time to go eat I worked up a appitite. |

| Nice run today with the warmer temps, I did the bishop storehouse route. The rivr botoms are starting to smell wondrfull with everything thawing out. My legs were a little tired from sat longer run so i took on the easy side. Who am I kidding I always take it on the easy side, I have never been a real speed demon. I did not sleep very well last night, I was up most of the night with a bad migraine and was very difficult to sleep through. I woke up feeling better was able tyo go to work without any problems.
My run this afternoon was a very windy one and dusty but we gutted it out and made it through. I did the full golf course loop today, I hav'nt been all the way around for a few weeks. They are golfing which is a good sign of spring. My legs felt pretty good today not bad my goal this week is to get in 5 days of running. Next week is the Spectrum 10k in St George should be a great time. I did 25 min of Bowflex on my upper body and finished with 200 crunches. |

I wimped out big time today because of the blizzard. So I did the eliptcal for 30 min which is about all I can stand, and then did 25 min of Bowflex on my upper body. I finished with 200 crunches.

Another nice day with sun blazing away. I did the golf course loop today it seemed a little colder today but was still a great run. I seen five deer which was kind of fun. That why I love running in the river bottoms, ya never know what you might see.

| I was able to do a nice litle run in St. George this afternoon. The Family and I are down for the Spectrum 10k on sat. and to take a little vacation and some sun. The temp is nice around 70 degrees, I could get used to this. What a great place. |

This is such a beautiful run down Snow Canyon, the temp was perfect and a good crowd out for this race. I was able to run with my Son Bryan and my Bro. Clay, this was Bryans first race. All three of us signed up for the runner's sieries this year so we would'nt have to go through the st. George Lottery for there marathon this year. We all have one more run which will be the Hurricane half in May and we should all be in the SGM.
The first 3 miles of this 10k was a wicked down hill steep and some sharp some uphills. I felt good through most of the race as my Bro. Clay was my rabbit and coach. The last mile and a half I was kind of loosin it but Clay stuck with me and was able to get a pr. My Son Bryan finished under an hour not bad for his first race with a little more training runs during the week he will be kickin my butt. All in all it was a fantastic race loads of fun and was way cool to have all the family waiting at the finish line. |

| Todays run was more of the mantinance to kind of get some of the soreness out from sat 10k race. There is some latic acid build up in the quads and it felt good to go nice an easy to work some of that poison out of the old muscels. Nice day for a recovery run, it is nice to finally have some comfy temps. I ran down in the river bottoms today, and up to the glof course and back. My legs are still whack from sat 10k but they are getting better each day. I noticed today that they bothered me more on the down hill and up, so we will take it on the easy side for a few more days and try to start our long runs on sat and work those into my training. My next race is the Hurricane half in may.
I did do 25 min of Bowflex on my upper body and tryed to work some diffrent muscels groups today. i finised with 200 crunches. Sounds like the weather will hold on the nice side the rest of the week. |

Today I did another golf course up and back, just tryed to take it easy again as my legs are still whack from sat race. | I went out to the top of Harry's Hill today. I had to work this morn so I did'nt make it out until almost noon. Needless to say it was a warm run. Felt goo though, my legs did feel good today the day off yesterday helped them to recover, I feel like this has been an ok week of training and will try to increase milage for the next month and get ready for the Hurricane half on May 2nd. | Well winter is back I had to put back on the cold running gear today. Saturdays run was so nice had warm, Spring time in the rockie mts. ya gotta love it. I ran up to the golf course and back today, I was surprised that mt legs felt as good as they did today. Had good energy and felt strong the whole run. I like this route because it has good hills going both ways, I tryed to push the hills going up and down. My down hill is were I need the most work I think. | Nice run today the weather was perfect, I did'nt get out untill about 11:30 am but the sunshine felt oh so good. I went up over harry's hill today and hooked up to woodland hills road, then headed back for home did not see a whole lot of runners. I'm sure they were all out earlier in the morn. There were a few out know body I reconized though. I feel good about my training the last few weeks I have been able to increase milage without any injuries. I will keep knocking on wood. I guess the weather is going to go down hill tomorrow as another snow storm is headed our way. I am so ready for 90 degree weather bring it on. |

I was able to get in a longer run today I'm glad the weather perked up this afternoon. You guys that have had to run in a snow storm this past week I feel bad for you. But runner's are a very hardy people.

| what wonderful weather this afternoon for my run it was awesome to feel the full sunshine. I guess this means the rest of the week is going to be yuckie weather. | Nice run today the weather was awesome in the low 70's, I found a new trail that goes about a half up the river by the golf course, it was fun to see somthing new, and to here the river. My legs are still on the whack side so I kept the pace easy but constant. Then finished up with 200 crunches. |

Winter has reared it's ungly head again, snow is back and I am about sick of it. I did not run last night, I had a Dentist apt. after work and by the time I was done with that it was pouring rain the rest of the night. So I took the night off.
Todays run was up to the top of the golf course and back, there is plenty of snow on the grass but it's not sticking to the road. My legs felt real good with a days rest behind, had to wear the winter running gear again it was on the chilly side. I did do 25 min of Bowflex on my upper body and finished with 200 crunches. |

I was able to get in a nice long run today it felt good to be out early on a sat morn. The weather was actually very comfy which helped make it a very injoyable run today. I hooked up with my Bro. Clay (Rambo Jr.) on about mile 2 and was able to run a good portion of it with him today. He always makes me push a little harder.
We headed over Harry's Hill and across Woodland Hills Rd. came out by the Stk. Center on Canal Rd. and Clay hung with me for a while longer and he headed back towards home, I finished my run with a loop around the golf course, got chicked going up the hill on Power House Rd. tryed to catch her but it was impossable for this old man. So I backed off and injoyed the rest of the loop to home. It has been a great week of training and should be ready for the Hurricaine Half on May 2nd. Have a great weekend.
Thanks Bro for letting this old guy hang with you for a while, it helped the time to go by fast. You should do really well for the Half Marathon in a few weeks. |

Wow how whack are my legs today ? Very, very, very whack after sat long run. I cannot believe how tired they were for my run today. The first half was all I could to to keep them going. They actually felt better the last half, maybe I'm not as ready as I think I am for the Hurricane Half in a week and a half. I finished todays workout with 200 crunches.

I did the golf course loop again today and the little trail that goes along the river. It was diffinetly a very warm run this afternoon but i will not complain, it feels good to have some heat during my run. My legs this week have been verry tired, not sure what is going on but the are more on the whack side than they have for a while.

| For my long run today I jusy went out to the top of Harry's Hill and back, I did a cut back week on my long run as next weekend I am doing the Hurricane Half. So just nice and easy run today, I had to put up with a little bit of rain and just as I was getting home it started to poor, I got lucky will have a great weekend. |

This has been kind of a tuff week for training, it seems I have come down with a pretty good cold. I felt really lousy yesterday so no running yesterday. I got into a Doc yesterday afternoon and he gave me a Z Pac (Antibiotic), so this afternoon I am starting to snap out of it. My throat has been really sore for over a week and it is starting to get better. As of right now it is mostly in my sinuses, I hope I will feel like racing sat in the Hurricane half.
I did feel like running this afternoon and did just an easy four miler. Out past Gu Corner and back. I hope the cold will be much better by sat. See ya soon. |

This was a tuff half, I havn't ran this one for a couple of years, and I forgot how much up hill there is. Wow there is alot. I ran this race with my Son Bryan and my Brother Clay (Rambo Jr.). This was Bryan's first half and he finished and over came the IT Band issues he has been having for the past couple of weeks. Clay did very well and finished 5th in his age group. By all of us completeing this rae it gets us into the SGM this year has we have completed the Runner Series for 2009.
I started out way to fast and tryed to keep up with Rambo Jr but I had to back off as his pace was much to quick for this old guy. I felt pretty good until miles 10 and 11 and just did not have any leg strength left. It was all I could do to keep them turning over for the rest of the race.

| Another nice easy run today, the temps were about 20 degrees cooler than yesterday the mid to upper 50's are just perfect temps for a run.I did the golf course loop with the little trail along the river bottoms, there is still alot of water in the river. It is running very high. I also seen alot of deer today, a couple of times they ran across the road in front of me. Kind of cool. I did 25 min of upper body Bowflex workout and 200 crunches. Another nice run today, I did the same route as yesterday. The golf course loop is my favorite course, but I also love my sat long runs. My legs today felt the best that they have for a while, I felt like pushing fro the start and had good energy the last mile like I could have done more. | A very nice run today, my plan was to be up at 5am and hit the road. I lookedat the clock at 5 am and the next thing I know it is 6:30 am. I am a little bit lazy, anyway headed out the door about 7 am and it was another beautiful morn. I went out over Haryy's Hill into Salem, came out by the Stk. Center on canal road back to GU Corner. I decided to make a loop around the golf course which gave me some more uphill workout then down canal road to home. It is time to start makeing the move and get marathon ready. I did see alot of people put this morn. It was a great run. |

It was actually quite nice made for a cool run a few thunder boomers and it was all over with. The rain made for a cool run though.It was awesome. | I had to go into work early this morn, so I did not get out on my run until about 10:30 am. It was very windy and muggy and besides I was very tired not much sleep last night and my legs were still feeling on the whack side but we stayed with it and it ended up being an injoyable run. I did my favorite sat long run loop up over Harry's Hill into Salem and back to home. Going back up Powehouse road I had a very steady head wind we battled through it. I did 25 min of upper body strength training on my Bowflex and finished with 200 crunches. It was a scheduled down mile week this week to give my body some recharge, we will hit it hard next week. Two days in a row that my legs have felt real good, last weeks reduced milage helped my body recover a little bit. It was another gorgeous day the sun blazing away with thunder showers over the mountain tops. I did the golf course loop again but in reverse which gives me some steepr up hill work out. Once I got to the golf course I took the little side trail that goes along the river. It is a beautiful little trail and shaddy. I finishe dtodays work oiut with 200 crunches.
Next month I will be doing the Provo River 10 miler, in July the Freedom Festival 10k and the Speedy Spaniard 10k. For Aug. I will do the Provo River Half Marathon. Sept. will be the Spanish Fork Half Marathon, the in Oct. The St George Marathon. Should be a great summer. |

| It was an ok run today, very hot and kind of on the humid side, but we got it done. I did the golf course loop today and finished with 25 min of Bowflex on my upper body and then 200 crunches. Kind of a lame report I know, but I'm tired. |

| Today I did the Bishop storehouse run it has some uphill which gives me the opportunity to work on some uphill. I felt good today one of my faster 8 mile training runs. No I will not post my times it is a secret. I finished with 200 crunches, it was a very injoyable run |

| The temps were up today, low 80's which made for a hot run. But I remember how cold it was in the winter and I really love these temps. I did the glf course loop today it was a good run, I took it easy after yesterdays harder run. I did do 25 min of Bowflex on the upper body, and finished with 200 crunches. |

| A very injoyable run this morn I love sat morn long runs. I went out over Harry's Hill and into Salem, came out by the Stk. Center on Canal Rd. then back to GU Corner. Took in some nourishment and did the golf course loop to home. Not alot of people out this morn I think the Springville Hershey 5k was going on. Next week I have the Provo River 10 mile race that come down Provo Canyon should be fun. Will it's been a great week of training, no injuries at this point knock on wood. See ya on Monday. |

| Fantastic run today, I felt real good all around. The legs had good energy which surprised me aftr sat long run. I ate real good over the weekend, it was just one of those runs that was just extra injoyable than the usual. I did the golf course loop with the little side trail up along the river. I did have a litle bit of rain but just enough to make it feel good. I did 25 min of Bowflex on my upper body and finished with 200 crunches. |

| Wow this is some weather, I was able to get in a quick run between storms today, it feels more like Octomber than June. I will be doing the Provo River 10 race this sat. Hope I'm ready we shall see. i did not have time to run yesterday which is very rare for me. I did miss doing it though, I don't feel like my day is complete unless I get my run in. | I did a little shake out run with Wendy today so I would'nt over do for tomorrows 10 mile race. I guess I am eady for tomorrow, my best time for a 10 mile race is 1:16:00, if I do a 1:10:00 I will feel good about it. This is always a fun little race to do, race time was 8:00 am perfect racing conditions a misty little rain at the first mile or two but after that dry and cool conditions. My goal for todays race was to hit an 8:00 min mile pace, the first three miles of this race is a pretty good down and I tryed to be conservite on the top and when I hit the trail pick the pace up. Once we hit the river trail me and a couple guys my age group had a back forth race of our own it made it alot of fun. I did good to stay right with them until the the last couple of tenths I think they finished about 10 sec ahead of me. My mile splits are as follows.
Mile 1. 7:42 Downhill
2. 7:46 DH
3. 7:42 Good pace for top part
4. 7:51
5. 7:35 I heard some women behind me say lets pass this old guy. So I picked it up a bit. Don't think they ever passed me.

| Long run sat, I always like my sat long runs. There were alot of peoplw out this morn, I ran with my Bro Clay who is still fighting IT band issues. Hang in there Bro it's gotta get better soon. Pat and the boys were out meet them at the top of Harry's Hill, and ran with them for about 100 yrds. There to fas for me. I did feel preety good today after a week of dead legs, today was the best that they felt. I went up over Harry's Hill, back to GU Corner. I then did a Golf Course loop to home. | On the way home from work the freeway temp sign said 100 degrees, my truck temp gauge said 99 degrees, sounds like perfect temps for a training, it was very hot. It did rain for a very brief min. and a few claps of thunder, but the smal amount of rain made for a very muggy run. I did the golf course loop again today, but my lags on the last mile were totally whack, infact I walked a hill have not done that for a while. | There seems to be more and more runner's each year for this race, it is a challenging 10k the first mile is uphil and the last mile is uphill. Not my best time for a 10k, but it is a pr for this course. Last years time was over 50:00:00, My goal was to try and do a 7:30 pace doing well untill mile 3 and then I went through the dry heave thing. Not sure why that happens but I had to back the pace off a bit and was able to average a 7:54. It was very muggy and warm I think they need to start this a little earlier in the morn. |

| This week has been a bad week of training, I have just been to budy to really make a very good effort. I will not do this agian I cannot afford to be careless with the marathon quickly coming in oct. | Not as warm but still the sweat was pouring out of the old body. I did the golf course loop again with the little river trail and back home not a whole lot very exciting happened just a nice run in the river bottoms. No cross training today instead went out in the yard with the pick and shovel and dug another trench. I do have the Speedy Spaniard 10k on friday should be interesting. My legs of the past few weeks have been whack. |

| Todays run took on the Bishop Storehouse run, first mile flat and warm up 2nd mile down hill finally felt like pushing a few miles today, miles 3 and on rolling up hill. Fun race this morn, lots of people and a very warm morn for a race. I think this is a pr for me, I felt good through most of the race except for mile 2 I kind of had the upset stomach feeling again, not sure why that happens but I was able to fight it off. My mile splits are as follows.

| Nice early morn run very muggy though but still very injoyable. I seen all the Spanish Forkers amd some Salemites out this morn they were all going fast as usuall. I went out over Harry's Hill into Salem then back to GU Corner. I then did a Golf Course loop back to GU Corner and then home. My legs were a little on the whack side from yesterdays 10k race but not bad. Have a great weekend. |

| Today I did the bishop storehouse route which gave me alot of rolling uphill workout. My legs seem to handle it ok they are still whack from the race but I know by the end of the week they will be good to go for a long run. I finished with 25 min on the bowflex for upper body, and 200 crunches. |

For some reason I could not sleep very well last night, it was a one of those nights were you are so tired that you have a hard time falling asleep. So I was not sure how well my long run would go this morn. Once I got going it felt good to be out in the early cool of the morn and turned out to be one of my better long runs.
I went out over Harry's Hill into Salem, then back to Gu Corner, made a loop aroiund the golf course with my Brother Clay, then back home. I spent the rest of the day installing my sprinkling system and now I am whacked out. So I hope I sleep well tonight. This has been a good week of training. |

| Todays run had a little bit of everything in it, and I found out that your hair does stand on your head when a lightining bolt is going to strike close. Then it started to poor rain and it cooled it off and ended up being a very injoyable run. The last mile the wind was blowing do hard it made it a difficult mile. But it was still a great run. |

This race just gets more and more popular each year. Tons of people on a very cool morning at race start. It started about 10 min late but considering the people I guess that's ok. This is the first half that I have stayed strong throughout the race and had enough for the last mile that I was acutally passing alot of people. All in all a very good performance for me and another PR for the year. My splits are as follows.

| Wow my legs are still hurting pretty good, my run today was very slow and my quads were screamin the whole way. I just did an out and back to the golf course. Stopped a couple of times and stretched, I don't feel like I have any injuries just still alot of lactic acid build up in the old muscels. | I seemed to have developed a slight engery left calf muscele, I have been wearing the cho-pat on my runs this week to give extra support. Today is was extra sore and very noticable on push off. I don't know what to think at this point just keep an eye on and hopefully it won't develope into anything more. I did do 25 min of Bowflex on upper body and finished with 200 crunches. |

| I have been on the injured reserve list for a few days, my left calf muscel has been giving me some issues. I did get out and run today after fours days of rest, as I started out on my run the old calfer was sore. But I stuck with it and by mile 3 it started to loosen up. The 2nd half of my run was alot nicer almost no discomfort in the calf. We will see what tomorrow will bring, I did do 25 min of Bowflex on upper body and 200 crunches. I'm trying some DSMO on the calf, they use it on Horses. Supposed to be a miricale ointment we will see how it does. Maybe I will feel like a gallop tomorrow. |

| Was no sure how the long run would go today after fighting a bit of and injury for the past couple of weeks. I did a mile warm up around my neighborhood to see how it feels and felt no worse than the past week so I headed off into the river bottoms and out over Harry's Hill into Salem. Ran into my Bro Clay and we spent most of the training today together it was a fun morning. Was not planing on doing 18 plus but I felt ok at the end and decided to push a few more miles. St. George Marathon is creepin up fast and I hope I will be ready and injury free by then. Considering the injury of the past few weeks this has been a pretty good week of training. |

| I took the last the days off from running to see if it would help my left calf to heel up. I started with a warm up mile this morn to see how things felt. The calf seem to loosen up ok so I opted to head out through the river bottoms and into Salem. I did Harrys Hill my calf seems to do ok going up hill but seems to smart a little on the down hill. When I finished my run today did alot of stretching and iced things down real good and we will see what monday brings. I missed my Brother Clay today, he is out with a groin pull and I hope is get's better quick. Hang in there Bro. If I can just get passed the next few weeks and his the taper part of my training I think I will be ok for the SGM. We will see what next week brings. |

| A very frustrating run today my left calf hurt more today than when it first started to be a bother. Not sure what to do at this point, it was a very uncomfortable tun today. When I awoke this morn my leg was really sore around the calf and it was very uncomfortable to walk on. By the time I got off work it was feeling much better and started to loosen up. So I decided to try a run but my calf was not ready still hurt to push off so I opted to go for a 45 min bike ride. Got to try and keep the cardio up some how. I have a Doc's Appt. on Friday morn to have it looked at. I finished today's workout with 25 min on Bpwflex upper body and 200 crunches.

| My calf is still not doing well, so I am back on the bike this morn. I did about 20 miles and felt like I had a good workout today, did lots of hills to get the cardio up and worked on my leg strength. I finished today's workout with 200 crunches and 25 min on Bowflex working on upper body. |

| I have taken the last eight days off due to injury to my left calf. I have been seeing a sports Doc and it seems to be helping. I did an easy run this morn to test things out. My calf did pretty good a little tightness to begin with but it lossened up quickly. I will take tomorrow off and get back to my training schedule if everything feels good. St. George is three weeks away, and I hope My calf will hold up. It felt so good to be out running this morn, the week off helped me realize just how much I love this sport. It was a very spiritual experiance . I think a Higher Power wanted me to apprreciate that blessing in my life. |

| Well it is SGM time I have not had any running for almost a month now due to calf injury sustained in August. I have been riding my MT. Bike in hopes of keeping my fitness up for SGM. We are leaving today and should be interesting to see how I will do not expecting any great time or pr just hoping to finish and get another marathon under my belt. My calf feels good so we will see at 6:45 am sat morn. whish me lots of luck. |

| Today was a good test for my calf it was not an issue so I hope it is on the mend finally after two months. Just another easy short run our to GU Corner and back. | This morn got to help out a Scout on his Eagle Scout Project down at the baseball park painting dugouts. Good turn out lots of help from the ward, I did a run down to the ballpark a 6 plus miler round trip. So I was able to kill to birds with one stone sort of speak. Nice morn morn for a run, fall temps are here and it feels good. The training this week has been ok despite the injuriesIi have had in the past month or so. My calf was not an issue again today so I think I will pronounce myself healed. It has been good to have back to back runs this week even though it is only three days we will try full a full week next week. Have a great weekend . |

Started the day out fishing with my Bro. Clay ans his Son Ethen up to Strawberry. Was not alot of action the fishing was slow. I did catch one nice cutthroat, the weather and company were great. I may go to Schofield tomorrow. My run today was nice great weather and my calf felt alot better today than it has. Just kept things on the easy side again and just had fun. I did 25 min of Bowflex and another 200 crunches.

| Winter has finally arrived here in the Rocky Mts. I woke up to a snow storm and cold temps. went back to bed thought I was having a real bad nightmare. when I awoke the sun was out still cold and a little bit windy, I put on the winter running garb and headed out the door. I went to the top of Harry's Hill and back today, round trip is a little over ten miles. Legs did good most of the way kind of got tired the last mile, but all in all it was a great run. I arrived home just in time to beat another squall line of snow and wind. |

| Nice morn for a run, the snow storm they talked about yesterday was a no show for this morn. It was actually a very pleasant warm morn. I went out to the base of Harry's Hill and back did okay for the most part. It has been a good week of training, I hope I can keep it up and things will stay healthy physically. | Colder today after last night snow storm, I did another golf course loop and surprisingly my legs did pretty good after sat little longer run. I did 25 min of bowflex on my upper body and finished with 200 crunches. |

| I did another golf course loop today, still running in shorts although it is a it on the cold side by the time I finish my run. That's okay my legs an handle the cold as long as my hands and ears are warm. Did 25 min on bowflex, upper body and 200 crunches. No injuries at this time knock on wood, hopefully sty that way through the winter. |

For my run today I went out to GU CORNER, then back to Canal Road. From there down Canal Road to the old Bishops Storehouse, and back up Canal Road to home. My legs are finally starting to feel good again after a few months of injuries. I did 25 min on the Bowflex (upper body) then finished with 200 crunches. I quess colder weather tomorrow as a cold front is coming through tonight, it I have been spoiled the past month with the awesome weather.

| I ran the golf course route today, the legs felt surprisingly well and I am pretty confident that they are healed from injuries from a couple of months ago. Cold weather has returned and the weather man is saying snow for the weekend. I finished today's workout with 200 crunches. Sat long run should be fun in the snow, hope it holds off until Sun. |

| Winter came back and slammed us today. Lots of snow cold temp with wind, the roads are very snowy in the river bottoms which made for a difficult run. But we slugged through it and made it a great run. I did 25 min on the Bowflex and another 200 crunches. More snow tonight and tomorrow. |

Yesterdays run it started out at 14 degrees and got colder as the sun went down. Today it warmed up to 15 degrees, very balmy , ha, ha, ha. everything froze today by the time I finished my run, gloves, vest, face were all iced up. Suppose to warm up this weekend to med 30's and snow again. My legs felt tired today had to go easy, I will take a recovery day tomorrow and see what sat. brings. Seen a lot of deer today.

| Nice run today able to run in shorts again today, temps were in the low thirties. I did the golf course loop today was able to hold a 9:14 pace, I know slow but I did feel like I was breathing hard. I finished with 200 crunches, will try and do a long run tomorrow. |

| I decided to work on my tan this morning, put on my running shorts and headed out the door. The temp was a nice and balmy 25 degrees. Today's run took me me to the top of Harry's Hill and back, have not been to the top in a few weeks. It was god to get in a longer run for a change. For the most part my legs did well and it was an enjoyable morning run. |

| I was able to leave work early today so the temp was in the low thirties, snowing and I threw on my running shorts and a couple of layers headed out the door. Got a lot of strange looks running in shorts and the snow, it was fun and my legs never did get cold. I did the Bishop Storehouse route today the roads were really snowy and slick. It was a great run. |
