I have ran three marathons. SGM in 2005, Ogden in 2006, and SGM 2006. My best time in a marathon is Ut. Valley Marathon 3:59:46. I have ran seven half marathons, some 10k's and 5k"s. My favorite marathon is SGM.I have ran 13 Marathons, will be during my first Ultra in march of 2013, it will be the Antalope Island Buffalo Run, a 50k.
2008 SGM PR 4:02:23 The best is yet to come. Short-Term Running Goals: Short term running goal is to increase my four days a week of running to five to six days a week. Do more speed work this coming year. Bring my times down. I would like to do SGM in 4 hrs or less. Long-Term Running Goals: Keep up with my Brother Clay in a marathon, someday do a sub four hour marathon, and BQ. Personal: I have been married for 34Years, and am still madly in love with my wife Wendy. I have four children and six Grand children.

When I awoke this morn my leg was really sore around the calf and it was very uncomfortable to walk on. By the time I got off work it was feeling much better and started to loosen up. So I decided to try a run but my calf was not ready still hurt to push off so I opted to go for a 45 min bike ride. Got to try and keep the cardio up some how. I have a Doc's Appt. on Friday morn to have it looked at. I finished today's workout with 25 min on Bpwflex upper body and 200 crunches.

| My calf felt a lot better walking today, I tried to run but it would not let me. I wish I knew what was going on. I rode my bike for an hour and then did 30 min on the eliptical. I am trying to do what I can to keep my fitness up. It will be interesting to see what the Doc says on Friday morn. |

| My calf felt good today so I decided to try a small easy run. The pain is still there after a few min. of running. It has been a month now and I am starting to get a little concerned . Not sure what to expect at the Doc's tomorrow. I hope he can help me past this injury quick, SGM is a month from sat. May not be able to do it this year. Cross my fingers and toes. |

| My calf is still not doing well, so I am back on the bike this morn. I did about 20 miles and felt like I had a good workout today, did lots of hills to get the cardio up and worked on my leg strength. I finished today's workout with 200 crunches and 25 min on Bowflex working on upper body. |

| I have taken the last eight days off due to injury to my left calf. I have been seeing a sports Doc and it seems to be helping. I did an easy run this morn to test things out. My calf did pretty good a little tightness to begin with but it lossened up quickly. I will take tomorrow off and get back to my training schedule if everything feels good. St. George is three weeks away, and I hope My calf will hold up. It felt so good to be out running this morn, the week off helped me realize just how much I love this sport. It was a very spiritual experiance . I think a Higher Power wanted me to apprreciate that blessing in my life. |

| Kind of a disappointing run my calf felt good on sat run but it was a bother today. Not sure what to do I cannot afford another week off, I'm really going to suffer in the marathon in a few weeks. Oh well life goes on. |

| Well it is SGM time I have not had any running for almost a month now due to calf injury sustained in August. I have been riding my MT. Bike in hopes of keeping my fitness up for SGM. We are leaving today and should be interesting to see how I will do not expecting any great time or pr just hoping to finish and get another marathon under my belt. My calf feels good so we will see at 6:45 am sat morn. whish me lots of luck. |
