Running Accomplishments:

I started running about ten and a half years ago. I have ran three marathons. SGM in 2005, Ogden in 2006, and SGM 2006. My best time in a marathon is Ut. Valley Marathon 3:59:46. I have ran seven half marathons, some 10k's and 5k"s. My favorite marathon is SGM.I have ran 13 Marathons, will be during my first Ultra in march of 2013, it will be the Antalope Island Buffalo Run, a 50k.

2008 SGM PR 4:02:23 The best is yet to come.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Short term running goal is to increase my four days a week of running to five to six days a week.  Do more speed work this coming year. Bring my times down. I would like to do SGM in 4 hrs or less.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep up with my Brother Clay in a marathon, someday do a sub four hour marathon, and BQ.

Personal:

I have been married for 34Years, and am still madly in love with my wife Wendy. I have four children and six Grand children.

Still recovering from SGM and my disappointing  performance, I did 25 min of Bowflex on my upper body today and 15 min on the eliptical. Finished with 200 crunches.

legs are still smarting from sat 14 miler, I did 25 min of Bowflex today upper body and then hit the eliptical for 20 min.,  finished with 200 crunches. I think sat I may try a 3 or 4 miler.

Decide to try a small run today, my plan is to build back easy. the calf did good today, legs are still a little whack from sat 14 miler. I went out to GU Corner and back it was a little windy and on the cool side. Just a taste of what is to come for the next 7 months. I did 25 min on the Bowflex upper body and finished with 200 crunches.

Today was a good test for my calf it was not an issue so I hope it is on the mend finally after two months. Just another easy short run our to GU Corner and back. Nice day felt good to feel and see the sun. I will try again tomorrow and see how things go. I did 25 min on the Bowflex and finished with 200 crunches.

This morn got to help out a Scout on his Eagle Scout Project down at the baseball park painting dugouts. Good turn out lots of help from the ward, I did a run down to the ballpark a 6 plus miler round trip. So I was able to kill to birds with one stone sort of speak. Nice morn morn for a run, fall temps are here and it feels good. The training this week has been ok despite the injuriesIi have had in the past month or so. My calf was not an issue again today so I think I will pronounce myself healed. It has been good to have back to back runs this week even though it is only three days we will try full a full week next week. Have a great weekend .

Nice easy run today beautiful fall weather perfect temps I love fall when it's Indian Summer weather. I did and out to Gu Corner and back then extended another mile. The calf still seems to be doing fine bur I will increase mileage very slowly. I did 25 min of Bowflex on ,my upper body then finished with 200 crunches.

I sure love this great fall weather perfect for running. I ran out to GU Corner and back still keeping things on the easy side and hope I can have a great winter training schedule. Things are feeling ok just don't want to have a relapse of my injury. I did another 25 min Bowflex on my upper body and finihsed with the usuall 200 crunches.

Started the day out fishing with my Bro. Clay ans his Son Ethen up to Strawberry. Was not alot of action the fishing was slow. I did catch one nice cutthroat, the weather and company were great. I may go to Schofield  tomorrow.

 My run today was nice great weather and my calf felt alot better today than it has. Just kept things on the easy side again and just had fun. I did 25 min of Bowflex and another 200 crunches.

Nice run with great weather, it will go down hill and tomorrow but should be good the rest of week. My leg did good today and I enjoyed the run. It is starting to be fun again now that the injuries have subsided. I did 25 min on my upper body with the Bowflex. and finished with 200 crunches. I wonder if I can lose 15 or twenty before spring? We'll see.

It was a colder day today but it was still a great run. It is always good to be outside. I did a little bit more today and the old body did okay. I did some strength training on my upper body and did about 200 crunches.

The run was a little bit warmer today, although the wind made it feel cold. But it was still a great run. I did full golf course loop today have not done that since before the marathon. it felt good to go a little longer today.

Today's run took me out to the base of Harry's Hill and back just went nice and easy and enjoyed the fall weather. My legs did okay did get kind of tired towards the end but it did feel good to be out on a sat morn. It's been an okay week of training.

Nice run today probably the last warm one for awhile as the weather is going to go to winter tomorrow. I did feel good today through the whole run I guess it was a runner's high, I have not felt that good for awhile. I will take those days when I can get them. Wow I had to get out the winter running gear for my afternoon run. It was snowing blowing and cold, I do not like winter very much but it is here and now we have to deal with it. My run took me on a golf course loop today kind of had tired legs but it was still a great run. I did 25 min of Bowflex on my upper body and finished with 200 crunches.

Another nice run today I did the golf course loop it was cold again and with the north wind if went right to the bone. You gotta love the fours seasons in Utah or else move. I think I would like San Diego a lot.

Cold windy run my golf course loop today, I do think winter going to bite this year. For the most part I have felt tired today hope I am not coming down with any thing there seems to be a lot of sickness going around here. Had a little bit of spark in the old legs today, it felt good to take a day off yesterday and to let them recharge for a little longer run today. I went out to the base of Harry's Hill and back over dressed the weather was nice this morn. Could of done without the bennie and gloves. It was a great run and very enjoyable. Been a pretty good week of training. See what next week brings.
