| Member Since: May 24, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: Pre-highschool: I loved to run and ran a few small local 5k's, but I did not run much on my own, besides junior high track.
Freshman year: I ran cross country and traied wih the team most of the summer. When the season started I ran 3 races including Murray Invitational. I got a huge PR there but after the race my foot hurt and I had a hard time walking. I ran on it for the next week but it was not getting better, so I went to a Sports MD and found out that i had a stress fracture. Becaue of that injury I missed the rest of the season. Then I ran track for my junior high but did not do extremely well.
Sophmore year: I trained hard over the summer and I got a 3 minute PR on my first race. I continued to PR, and had a good, injury free season. I ran indoor track an had some good PRs. I ran at simplot and had a great time. I did track and ran some goodtimes and cut my time down by 15 seconds, I was hoping that I could get low 5's in the mile, but I had fun and was able to race at the steepechase and have a fun time through out the season. At sophmore region I was able to PR in the 800 and I missed my PR in the mile by 2 seconds.
Junior year: I ran a little over 500 miles over the summer, but wasn't improving how I would have liked over the season. I was not consistant at all and was sick for aboout 3 races. I finally had a good race at region and dropped a 46 second pr. Track went well, I went sub-5 in the mile finally and got a PR in the 2 mile pretty easily. I didn't really hit the times I had hoped for throughout the season due to sickness and I just wasn't in it.
PRs:
800: 2:11
1600: 4:56.35
3200: 11:17.47
3 mile: 17:41
5k: 18:07 Short-Term Running Goals: Cross Country 2016:
Run 650 to 700 summer miles SUCCESS
Low 15's on the 5K and Sub 15 3 mile

Sub 9:15 on the 3200
Sub 2:00 on the 800

Qualify for State, Arcadia, and Great South West, and become the best runner I can be. Long-Term Running Goals: Run cross country and track in college. Keep improving and just having fun. I'll probably run an ultra or two for the heck of it and to see if I like them. Personal: I'm a Senior at Weber High School. I am LDS and plan on serving a mission before college. | | Easy 5.5 down to Lee's and Smith's and back. I think Henry explainded it best on his blog, "we were going to run to Lee's for some samples and stuff. So I'm running with Talon, Brayden, and Nate Staker, and we cruise on down to Lee's. We get in, grab some orange juice, wholewheat bread with honey, and some coconut water. We go outside and guess who's there. That's right BJ's girlfriend. So he sits there and talks to her for like 420 minutes and the rest of us act like spies or something. We finally get his attention and we start running again. Then we're like "Hey! Smith's will have food too!" So we run over there and grab some cookies and sushi. So we leave and we're running behind the old Smiths and we see these sick balloons and Talon grabs one. We keep running and then a cop pulls us over!! He's all like "that's a special balloon! Put it back!" So we run it back and he follows us so we act like we're going one way but go another and lose him. Then we run back to the school and I told some fire jokes. We get back to the school and then I leave and run home. Got home, was chilling and I got an alert from Insta saying that Talon had sent a picture from Doug the pug to the group chat and so I got on and showed them a far superior account called dogrates. The group chats have been lit lately. Just like my runs." Sorry Henry, I had to steal your very detailed description from the blog, please don't sue me.... I'll buy you food

| | I decided to start doing morning runs, so today was my first one. I went 4 miles at a 7:10 pace. Later today we all ran up and around the rock quarry. Ran past a Jaguar F-type and my ears praised the heavens when the exaust sounded... It was beautiful, need I say more. We went 5 miles at a 7:15 pace.

| | Me, Talon, Addison, Nate, and Spencer ran up to the trails above 500 W. We ended up running down the face of the mountain becasue we lost the trail. It was insane, we were all tripping and falling in the snow. We found a golfball, a stuffed bear, and I fell into a cactus and had to pull 400,000 cactus prickles out of my hand and knee, it was awful, but quite funny. We also ran over to the cave and explored that area. Addison said it best on his blog, "Finally ran with the guys again today. After we witnessed the most intense flip ever from jake smith, we decided to run the trails above 500 W. Jake turned back early cause his tailbone was quite sore from the intense 360 poin flip that i previously mentioned. We ended up running straight down the face on our way back. Everyone was falling through the snow and going down hard. We stopped to extract a cactus, and as you can probably guess, bj screwed up. He just sorta tipped forward and fell straight into the cactus. After much swearing and screams of agony, he finally pulled himself together. We ended our run by exploring the caves. Brayden seems to know them quite well... i wonder why..." Sorry to add and Henry for stealing your blog posts, but they are pretty fire.
