Running Accomplishments:

Pre-highschool: I loved to run and ran a few small local 5k's, but I did not run much on my own, besides junior high track.

Freshman year: I ran cross country and traied wih the team most of the summer.  When the season started I ran 3 races including Murray Invitational.  I got a huge PR there but after the race my foot hurt and I had a hard time walking. I ran on it for the next week but it was not getting better, so I went to a Sports MD and found out that i had a stress fracture.  Becaue of that injury I missed the rest of the season. Then I ran track for my junior high but did not do extremely well.

Sophmore year: I trained hard over the summer and I got a 3 minute PR on my first race.  I continued to PR, and had a good, injury free season. I ran indoor track an had some good PRs. I ran at simplot and had a great time. I did track and  ran some goodtimes and cut my time down by 15 seconds, I was hoping that I could get low 5's in the mile, but I had fun and was able to race at the steepechase and have a fun time through out the season. At sophmore region I was able to PR in the 800 and I missed my PR in the mile by 2 seconds.

Junior year: I ran a little over 500 miles over the summer, but wasn't improving how I would have liked over the season. I was not consistant at all and was sick for aboout 3 races. I finally had a good race at region and dropped a 46 second pr. Track went well, I went sub-5 in the mile finally and got a PR in the 2 mile pretty easily. I didn't really hit the times I had hoped for throughout the season due to sickness and I just wasn't in it.

PRs:

800: 2:11

1600: 4:56.35

3200: 11:17.47

3 mile: 17:41

5k: 18:07

Short-Term Running Goals:

Cross Country 2016:

Run 650 to 700 summer miles SUCCESS

Low 15's on the 5K and Sub 15 3 mile

Place at region and state

Go to footlocker nationals

Track 2017:

Sub 4:20 mile

Sub 9:15 on the 3200

Sub 2:00 on the 800

Sub 6:25 on steeple chase

Qualify for State, Arcadia, and Great South West, and become the best runner I can be.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run cross country and track in college. Keep improving and just having fun. I'll probably run an ultra or two for the heck of it and to see if I like them.

Personal:

I'm a Senior at Weber High School. I am LDS and plan on serving a mission before college. I'm a member of The Hobbyjogger Project.

I'm back!!!! I did 6.25 miles becore going to St. george and felt really great, and then I did 3.25 late tonight in St. George around 10 after it cooled down hahaha

Woke up early in the morning and did 6 miles before the crew came annd picked me up to go to Arcadia.

Arcadia Day 1:

They picked me up around 10 AM and we started the journey. About half way to Duerte, which is where we were staying, we stopped at a gas station to eat lunch. I have always been told and have learned from many instances, that you should never, ever, eat mexiccan food from a gas station. So guess what I did?!?! I walked right up to the mexican place and ordered a burrito the size of Ethan Fields head! JK, but it was close ;) That is where Ethan found out from the rest of my team that I have a slight addiction to mexican food. If my momory is correct, I had mexican food 14 times over this week. Anyways, on with the story! We got to the house that we rented in Duerte and it was super nice! We found a shopping cart and rode around in that for a little while and explored the neighborhood. We had a super sick run under some orange trees and around the city that was around 5.5 miles. After we got back, Mama Lee said that she made dinner!! Any guesses on what it was?!?! Enchiladas!!! My favorite!! Me, Add, and Ethan were anti social, so we sat out on the patio in the rain becasue there was no seats left at the dinner table inside. We ate our dinner and had a great time! Add or Ethan said somthing about us bing locals, and that turned into a great inside joke for the rest of the trip. After dinner we watched a little bit of A-Team and then headed to bed. Im in a room with Add and Ethan and it is sick. We filled it up with plants that we stole from around the house and we stayed up pretty late talking. I love those two, they are halarious :)

Arcadia day 2

I honestly sort of forgot what we did today, but it was a dang good day haha We sort of just relaxed all day and messed around. Me, Add, and Ethan ran over to grab some more oranges at a super chill pace, and we got chased by a crap ton of dogs, but that's it hahaha We took our newly aquired shopping cart over to the local skate park and went down some ramps, and then we invented a sick new game that is a combination of ultimate frisbee and basketball. Let me tell ya, getting a frisbee through a basketball hoop is harder than you would think... We went over to the meet and just hung out and watched the girls win the seeded 4 X 800 and the guys run the 4 x1600. Watched Oak smash a nationaal record, which was totally lit, and just cheered a bunch. After, Me and Ethan went on a crazy sketchy run through a graveyard... and then we did some strides. If i remember correct I went on another 3 with everyone else later. We went to bed at a decently early time tonight, I think Me, Add, and Ethan all stopped talking and laughing around 12...

Arcadia day 3:

We went over to watch Add race and hung out there for a while. Add did great and got a PR, so thats lit. After, we went back over to the house and hungg out again. We watched some more A team and got some more oranges. Me and Marc went on a long run and I felt amazing. I ended up averaging 6:24's which is the fastest I've ever gone for a long run. I love how easy it is to run down here; It is so much easier to breathe... We just partied the rest of the day and went back over to the stadium to watch Ethan, Talon, and McKenna race. Ethan Dropped a massive PR in the 3200 and it was sick to watch all of the Hobbyjoggers destroy. Connor Baller had an epic race, and it was sick to watch Casey drop an 8:50 US #1. We went back to the house and partied pretty late. Me, Ethan, and Add snuck out off our room around 2 I think and had a nice midnight snack of cold cereal. I think we went to bed around 4...

We did a mile warmup and then raced. I felt pretty good about my race even though it wasn't a PR. It was pretty windy and the weather wasn't great. We did another 1.75 as a cool down. Later tonight, me and Nate did 8 miles with some pickups.

I did an easy 5.25 earlier this afternoon. Later tonight I went over to my brothers soccer game and did 4 x 400's and 4 x 200's my splits were 65, 70, 78, 68, 28, 29, 29, 27. I did a mile warmup and a mile and a quarter cool down.

4 x mile repeats at shady lane park. I did about a 2.75 mile warmup and then we started the intervals. We got 1.5 minutes rest in between, so it was pretty hard. My splits were 5:46, 5:54, 6:02, 5:58. After we did 4 x 200's on a slight downhill section of grass. I hit 29, 27, 26, 25. Ran back to school with a little more to get up to 9.5

Me and the guys did a mile and a half warmup and then got ready to race with some dynamics and strides. I knew that I needed to stick with Add, Paul, and Jake for as long as possible if I wanted to go sub 5. I ended up finishing with a time of 4:57. I did a mile cool down with Addi and then relaxed before my 3200. There were only 5 of u running the 2 mile and I ended up getting a time of 11:17. I could have gone a lot faster, but I didn't really have anyone to push me. It was super windy, so I'm really happy with both of my times. Later tonight I did another 3 miles
