| Member Since: May 24, 2015 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: Pre-highschool: I loved to run and ran a few small local 5k's, but I did not run much on my own, besides junior high track.
Freshman year: I ran cross country and traied wih the team most of the summer. When the season started I ran 3 races including Murray Invitational. I got a huge PR there but after the race my foot hurt and I had a hard time walking. I ran on it for the next week but it was not getting better, so I went to a Sports MD and found out that i had a stress fracture. Becaue of that injury I missed the rest of the season. Then I ran track for my junior high but did not do extremely well.
Sophmore year: I trained hard over the summer and I got a 3 minute PR on my first race. I continued to PR, and had a good, injury free season. I ran indoor track an had some good PRs. I ran at simplot and had a great time. I did track and ran some goodtimes and cut my time down by 15 seconds, I was hoping that I could get low 5's in the mile, but I had fun and was able to race at the steepechase and have a fun time through out the season. At sophmore region I was able to PR in the 800 and I missed my PR in the mile by 2 seconds.
Junior year: I ran a little over 500 miles over the summer, but wasn't improving how I would have liked over the season. I was not consistant at all and was sick for aboout 3 races. I finally had a good race at region and dropped a 46 second pr. Track went well, I went sub-5 in the mile finally and got a PR in the 2 mile pretty easily. I didn't really hit the times I had hoped for throughout the season due to sickness and I just wasn't in it.
PRs:
800: 2:11
1600: 4:56.35
3200: 11:17.47
3 mile: 17:41
5k: 18:07 Short-Term Running Goals: Cross Country 2016:
Run 650 to 700 summer miles SUCCESS
Low 15's on the 5K and Sub 15 3 mile
Place at region and state
Go to footlocker nationals
Track 2017:
Sub 4:20 mile
Sub 9:15 on the 3200
Sub 2:00 on the 800
Sub 6:25 on steeple chase
Qualify for State, Arcadia, and Great South West, and become the best runner I can be. Long-Term Running Goals: Run cross country and track in college. Keep improving and just having fun. I'll probably run an ultra or two for the heck of it and to see if I like them. Personal: I'm a Senior at Weber High School. I am LDS and plan on serving a mission before college. | | Woke up and did a 3 mile morning run at a decent pace. I've been working on keeping my head up and focusing on these runs and it has been getting easier. For practice today we did 2 X 200's with 200 meter jogging recovery, 2x400's with a 400 meter jogging recovery, and 2x600's with a 400 meter recovery. I hit above my times on every one, so I was extremely happy. Did a 1.75 mile warmup with some strides, and a .5 mile cooldown.

| | I had to go in early to school today so I could make up Yoga, so I went into the weightroom and did a bunch of squats, lunges, box jumps, and hamstring curls. I'm a lot more sore than I thought I would be, so that is a good thing! Easy 5.5 at practice with Addison today with 6:43 as an average pace.

| | Did a 4.25 mile morning run with Henry and Jake. Warmed up and did strides and then started the track workout. We did 4 x 600's and 4 x 200's. My splits were 1:53, 1:55, 1:53, 1:48, 33, 32,33, 31, 30, 32, 31, 30. I ended up doing the extra 200's because one of my friends was up doing the workout alone. Did a mile barefoot cooldown after. |

| | I ran home before practice cause I left my shorts there, and I couldn't think of the terror running in long basketball shorts! After that we did an 8 mile long run. I didn't have my watch, but according to Addison I averaged around 6:32's which is a new long run record for me!! I felt really good during it, so I'll just continue to keep getting faster. |

Intersquad 800m (0.497 Miles) 00:02:15, Place overall: 9 | | Woke up and did 4 miles this morning with Henry; my hip was bothering me from the run yesterday so I rolled out quick and stretched for a while one I got home. After school I did a half mile warm-up with the rest of the track team before the race. Went on another mile warm-up after the coaches talked to us. The race started well and I had a decent start and ran a 65 first lap. I was hurting with about 200m left, but that's where Gavin started kicking so I picked it up hard. Felt great about my race especially considering we've had hard workouts the past few days. I'm excited for the mile tomorrow. My hip didn't bother me during the race or cool down and I think the stretching helped. |

Intersquad 1600m (0.994 Miles) 00:05:04, Place overall: 8 | | Did a 4 mile morning run today with Henry and Jake. We got to track and did a mile and a half warm-up before our race. The 1600 went pretty well, I don't have all my splits, but I know the first lap was a 70. I Finished with a time of 5:04 for a new PR by 10 seconds!! I did .75 of a mile around the track and then we did a 400 and I ran it in 1:00.6 or something like that. I'm a little mad I didn't go sub-1, but not bad for just running a mile. Did 1.25 mile cool down with a mile of it barefoot. |

Cougar Relays (0.994 Miles) 00:05:08, Place in age division: 1 | | A couple of us went down to the Cougar relays. I did a mile warm-up for my race and Weber to the line after dynamics and some strides. I took off when the race started and surprisingly nobody even attempted to chase me. By the end of the race I lapped a few kids and widened the gap between me and second place by almost 20 seconds. First time I've ever lead the entire race and won, so I was pretty excited even though I didn't get a PR. |

| | We did 1.75 mile warm-up and then 8x400's in the awful storm. It felt like we were getting killed by sandpaper because it was so windy. Did a half mile cooldown barefoot. Later I did 3 miles with one at tempo pace because I felt bad about not hitting my splits for the last few 800's. I'll post splits later |

Davis Super Meet (0.994 Miles) 00:05:35 | | I did a mile warmup and actually felt pretty good. I was pretty pumped becasue I was seated number one in my heat and wanted to win. The race started out good and I split a 69. About 100 meters into the second lap everything went to crap and I was shot in the heart by pneumonia. I ended up finishing dead last with a time of 5:35! Ten seconds slower than my last year time at the same race! I was not very happy and went on a 2 and a half mile cool down. On the bright side my achillies didn't bother me too much....
