Week off, I start running again next week, training for track. Starting to get really excited, taking a break always gets me fired up about running. I can't wait to run the mile, I want to run 4:18, for indoor I'm expecting to be running 4:30s and maybe 4:20s in some of the later meets. Hopefully I will qualify for state at Pineview. I'm really motivated for 4:18.

I will do a run 30 mins after dinner, 4-6 miles. I had an allergy appointment and I got tested for 53 different things, got a flu shot and some other stuff, I'm tired. Also this morning I coughed and yellow dust/powder stuff came out... Weird huh? My dad said maybe it was a sinus infection that popped. When the doctor looked in my throat she said it looked really bad, I have an ulcer and its very bright red irritated and messed up. Also I found out I'm allergic to wheat, and some other stuff. I had assumed something was messed up because I've been getting lots of heart burn and weird throat problems and stuff for a very long time, well its nice to have that over with, still need to get blood drawn tomorrow but my throat is a little weird and I'm feeling tired, I will give it an hour or two and then I'm sure a nice run will make me feel loads better. Maybe taking care of all this stuff will help me run faster! Also I might be allergic to corn and onions, hopefully onions! I ran 4 miles, felt very weird, something was off, probably just really really need new shoes, maybe I will take care of that tomorrow, I actually might wear a pair of shoes from the summer or last track season tomorrow, these ones are really done! It feels good to be running again, even if its such a short run, the feeling I have is great! Also I got an email from Elder Kramer Morton today, that was really cool!

Finally over with getting blood drawn, don't like it, hopefully won't have to do it for many years. I will go on a run in 30 minutes, 6 miles today. I got new shoes!

I ran 5.7, a little sooner after getting blood drawn than I would've liked, my arm is still hurting, but I got back and went to the Jazz game, great game! The Jazz came in 5-16 and beat the 16-4 Spurs! It was fun! I will need to do 8 tomorrow and Thursday and 7/8 on Friday and Saturday so I can get to 40 or a little over. Weird weird week. Now I can't see out of a lot of my eye, shining afterimage is blocking it, has been for a while now. Add that to the dust I coughed up, this has been a weird week, my dad says that the dust might have been a sinus infection that pooped and dripped down my throat while I was asleep and then turned into mist and I coughed it up, makes sense. My vision has had troubles since my last concussion in 8th grade but this is new, maybe I'm just having weird side effects from the jazz game, I usually try to avoid places like dances and other indoor events with lots of people and weird lighting because it kind of makes me feel like I'm in a dream and makes it hard to think, ever since that concussion, so hopefully I will feel better in the morning. If not I might miss my first 2 periods and show up for the AP classes and a run.

Good run, felt good and ran well, I ran to Target and got some new sunglasses after I lost mine at state, same ones actually. Then I ran back home and did another loop to get 8.1 for the day. I felt better today, my vision is better today. Well I'm happy this week is almost over, and I'm back in the running mindset!

Solid run, my legs are sore which is very good. Two more 8 mile days will get me to the low 40s. I want to do extremely well this track season, I want to be as fast as I can be, and maybe even a little faster than that.

10.5 mile up little cottonwood canyon with Tayte, it was a dark day but very warm for December, it was a nice run! I was really tired on the way down because I'm still a little out of shape from my 10 day break. It was a good workout, this has been a weird week, I can't believe it went by so fast! Tomorrow I will take things pretty easy, 5-8 miles. 10.5 might seem long for the first week back but I read somewhere that your longest run of the week should be a quarter of that weeks mileage, I don't know if that's true or not. But 10 miles isn't too long, it was a very hilly run, first half all up hill and 2nd half all down hill!

Nice easy run in the cold, I'm pretty sore. This has been a good week of training, footlocker championship was sweet! 3 Utah guys in the top 27 and 2 Utah all-Americans! And the west won again, northeast and south aren't anywhere near the west and Midwest, it almost didnt seem like a fair matchup.

I meant to do 8 today but my mom came sooner than I expected so I cut it short. I will run 8 tomorrow, probably another 40-45 mile week, maybe a little more.

What a beautiful day! I ran the gully longer run with two extra loops at the park, it was a really nice run, the gully trails were soft, it was a good temperature, and the sky looked amazing which also made the mountains and other surroundings look great! I was having a pretty bad day but this run made me feel a lot better! I felt good on the run, just a little sore.

I ran a good hard 8 miles, 8 miles is like my standard winter run, I like them. Tomorrow I will do 7-9. I might run from alta to the gully, do the gully long run, and go back to alta for 8.7, but only if its a nice day (blue sky). I'm doing more core now to get ready for these shorter distances that require more power. I was feeling kind of unmotivated today, the first few weeks of winter can be tough, and I don't like it when days are bleak and lifeless like today, a sharp contrast from yesterday. Meant to to talk to Murphy but he wasn't in his room when I stopped by so I will talk to him tomorrow. Last day of school is Friday!

Ran the best buy loop with Zach, then another 1.5 mile loop. Good day overall, although I didn't get home until 6. Last day of school before the break tomorrow!

I ran the upper loop twice, lower loop once, and then the mini upper loop (1.5 mile loop). I ran pretty fast for the first 4 miles, like 6:30 or so, maybe faster. I was just feeling good, although sore. Then I slowed down a bit for the last 3.5 but still ran at a good pace. I might not have to come to school until 2nd period on A days next semester, that would be nice, I would have to switch out of my current seminary period though, which would be sad because its the first class I've actually known people in, including 2 teammates, Cubby and Zach! I had a very good day today, the assembly was really good, it might have been the only assembly that I've ever been to that has made me feel school spirit, definitely the best I've been to by a lot. I was impressed! I also had a really good time in Seminary, and I just played games in film studies because we kind of had an off period since we finished our film a while ago. The year is getting better, and Track is starting the week we get back, so I am very happy and optimistic about the future. The next 2 weeks will probably just be me training on my own, lots of 45-80 minute runs in Florida and a few more in Utah before Christmas. I bet watching Unbroken will motivate me a lot though, so I just need to push through the next 5 cold hard long runs and then I will be highly motivated and able to run in a nice and warm climate, I'm excited to see where I can run near Disney World! Hopefully its near the beach, I have no clue, I don't want to do beach running, I just think it would make for a beautiful run if I could see the ocean! 6-9 miles tomorrow!

9.4 easy today, I ran 2.5 of them on a tread mill and went up to 5:00 pace for a quarter mile, just to let my body know I would be doing more of that in a few weeks. I might do a 1600m in Florida because that would be really fun at sea level. I've been busy the past few days, I missed my run on Saturday because I was about to do it at night but my friend called and invited me to the BYU-Stanford game and I felt like I should go. I had a good time and I've been battling a knee injury I hurt again during the my break, its all better after the extra day off so I think it's a good thing I took it off. That tendon has been bothering me on and off since I overstretched it in 9th grade, I need to be more careful. I found a little inspiration today, if I'm going to run on a Division 1 team like USU I need to earn my spot. I need to work harder, train smarter, and be better than all the other athletes who want a spot on a Division1 team. I need to do my best and make some great PRs, I don't just want to make the team, I want to be a really valuable asset to the team.

Blood test confirmed I am allergic to wheat, onion, and soy. I have to keep eating them until my endoscopy in January but then I will stop and my throat will clear up, should be healed just in time for Pineview.

Same run as yesterday but only a mile at the rec center. It was a pretty good run, besides Davis and American Fork I am the fastest returning senior for the mile in 5A. Thats a confidence booster, I want to catch all those guys this year. I'm really excited about what I can do this year. I want to be a legit contender for the 5A 1600m State Championship, and I want to win region 3 1600m championship. I have a lot to improve, but I'm a hard worker and I'm determined to give it my best.

7.6, not the most enjoyable. Glad I'm going to Florida!!! I can only imagine how nice, beautiful, and warm it will be. I've really been missing the coast, and I bet Florida is 3x as nice as Maryland, it definitely was the only time I went there, but that was only for one day on a cruise. I got to 25 for the first half of the week because I will be flying to Texas to meet up with my friend and his family and then driving to Florida. So I don't know how much time I will have to run, I will try to get in 5-7 tomorrow morning before Christmas activities start. As long as I get to 30-32 tomorrow, I will be fine for mileage. My goal range for the next two weeks is 40-45 miles per week, maybe a little more. Then indoor track will start and school will be back. I've been coughing and spiting up a lot of blood lately, and I've had a bloody nose both today and yesterday, maybe its the new medicine, or maybe its the dryness, or maybe its that I'm allergic to 90% of what I eat. Maybe a combination.

Merry Christmas everyone! Today's run was a cold one, my eyes... Yes my eyes were freezing off, I guess I will wear my sunglasses next time it snows, but luckily next time I run will be down south where its warm! Got the run in 30 minutes before Christmas starts, so I can shower and pack any last minute stuff.

Today I woke up at 5 and drove from to San Antonio, I will be in Tallahassee at 8:30 or so, I will try to get in a 5 mile run. Louisiana Was really pretty but also scary, I would love to run through there but I also feel like I would probably die. And Mississippi was kinda dull, Alabama seems ok but Louisiana was by far the best! I wouldn't want to live there though! Next is Florida, been a long drive haha. Yesterdays flight was ok, although airports are really lame when you're on your own. Almost to Florida!

Got into Orlando at 5 or so and went for a 73 minute run at a good pace. I feel really good. Showering down here feels weird, I forgot about that! Or maybe I just didn't notice before. Florida is pretty! I got back in time to see Byu come back against no. 8 Gonzaga to finish the first half tied! Hopefully they will win! I might run tomorrow, but I got to 40 miles this week so its optional, if I do run, it will be like 4-5 miles. Florida feels good!

Hour long run, I found a cool trail around a lake, well kind of a trail. Sounds like I might be gone from 7-10 or even later tomorrow, I will try to get a 4-5 mile run in sometime, probably when I get back I will just go straight on a run. I will be back in Utah Friday night, another day it could be hard to get a run in. I will probably do a short run that night when I get into Utah around midnight. But I will do another 10 miles Saturday and probably 7-8 Wednesday and Thursday. So I will get over 40 miles for the week if I fallow this plan.

I ran a little over 4 mile, plus quite a bit of running of magic kingdom to get 5. It was hard to do a 32 minute run after a very long day of standing in lines and also didn't eat as much as I should've. Today I'm still very tired, looking at 6 miles, maybe 7. I'm going to Epcot for 6 hours or so and then going back late at night for fireworks, I will run in between those.

Got back from EPCOT at 11:30 or so, it was SUPER fun!!!!! The rides suck, but you can have an incredible time at the dances and interacting with different people! Disney is WAY better at night, it was like a giant party all over! And the giant golf ball counted down to the new year! I had a nice 5 mile run, 37-38 minutes. I don't think I will get 40 miles this week but we will see!
