I met up with Joseph Moore, and we ran up Jacobs Ladder, almost to the summit of Lone Peak. There was too much snow to really safely summit. We were in snow for probably 5 miles of this run, and it was the worst kind of snow, where you could run on top of it for a little bit then out of nowhere you've collapsed and its knee deep, and you trip hard, cause the top layer is still hard. I don't know if that made sense, but it was the crusty kind of snow that just makes it hard to run, so you have to walk more. Anyway, took up about 4 hours, with about 5000 feet of climbing. It was awesome to see Joseph and catch up with him. He has such an awesome spirit of adventure. He's not in quite as good mountain running shape as we was when he lived in Utah, but he also hasn't been able to run mountains very much, so that totally makes sense. Good guy, I love running with him.
