Barry with you running only half marathons and training for them. There really is no need for you to run 10 miles every day. I would do 5 to 8 miles with some speed work. Then your long run on Friday your fresh and could do some speed miles in the long run.
Really, you only need to run 40 to 60 miles a week. I got to thinking about this since you said that you won't be doing marathon's. You could really focus on your speed and get faster, rather than the endurance factor of a marathon.
