Quality for the Olympic Trials in the marathon Personal: I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.
I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)
I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

| | Lift skiing at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. We skied with a couple friends who are way better (faster) skiers than we are. So it was a constant chase to keep up with them! I think the hard, fast skiing was a little much for my abdomen as it started to hurt and ended up lingering for a few days.

| | PM - Ski Tour w/ Jake: Short Swing x 2 laps [3400']. Another midweek powder day! Pretty nice layer of new snow (although a bit damp towards the bottom). In hindsight the conditions would have been even better at higher elevation but we wanted to play it safe

| | AM/PM - Ski Tour w/ Andrea: Climbed Mt Superior via the East Ridge, then 3 amazing laps of hero snow down the Cardiac Chutes and into Cardiac Bowl. Had the place to ourselves. Did another short lap on a NW aspect back near Cardiff Pass, then skied an afternoon slush run on the south-facing side back to Alta.
