Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc. 

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

Ski tour w/ Jake: White Pine TH to Maybird Gulch. Skied 3 laps in Maybird and 2 in Red Pine [4500']. Great snow conditions again today. We hadn't been to this area in the winter before so it was fun exploring and scoping out where to ski in the future.

Ski tour with Jake in White Pine area - skied Red Baldy and Tri-Chutes (5000ft). I would call it adventure skiing with very variable conditions. I almost fell down an entire slope while skinning but managed to keep myself in a sketchy upside down position until Jake could help me. Pretty typical for me :) Hard to beat the views from up there though!

I have been pretty lazy about updating the blog. It's interesting how it used to be the first thing I did every morning - update, check other people's blogs, comment, be engaged. And now Jake has to remind me once a week to update it so I don't get too far behind. I wonder if it'll change again if I start training again. Maybe it's because I'm trying not to get too motivated...my body is not really ready to do workouts and I am the first to admit that I have exercise-guilt. Anyway, I should try to be update more often :)
