MRI was neither good nor bad. No stress fracture or major FAI-ness, but it did show a labral tear and confirmed the fact that I have old lady arthritic hips.

I really, really think the pain I have been having is coming from my SI joint dysfunction rather than the hip itself so I think we are going to keep trying to manipulate the crap out of it and do some injections to confirm that is it my SI joint and go from there.

Let's just say I am happy with the two months of fun I had this summer and each run I went on I was absolutely stoked because that was one more run that I never thought I would have! Here's to hoping something is going to pop in some joint somewhere soon and I will be back on my merry way :)

AND I couldn't have picked a BETTER day for Season 5 of Parks and Recreation to be released on Netflix!!!

Rest day #5. More SI beating at PT. No improvement. Docs threw around words like microfracture procedures and labral repairs and I just go la la la la la la la la!

Rest day #6

Feeling better today! I don't know if it is the 800 mg of ibuprofen I have been taking every 4-5 hours today or the fact that my PT duct taped my pelvis together yesterday and I wore my SI belt all day, but I am hopeful that this is SI issues and I can deal with that!

Hip is so tight I managed to pull my groin bowling. Bowling was something I thought I could do ha ha ha!

AM: Been pretty bummed about the hip so I thought it would be good to try the gym. Elliptical hurt unless I was at the highest incline. Bike okay. Lots of rolling and stretching after.

PM: SI joint adjustments and lots of manual therapy at PT. Can't do much else.

November 14th surgery date for hip number 3!

Yup, I am for reals. Wish I wasn't. Just want to get it over with and get on with the healing.

Sort of can't believe this...

Bye, bye FRB! Will be back when I am on the up and ups.

PM: 30 minutes on the stationary bike reading the first few chapters of Elizabeth Smart book by Elizabeth Smart. Kindle samples have allowed me to read the first few chapters of at least 100 books this year.

PM2: Planks, fire hydrants, clam shells, and a few arm things while pumpkin/candy corn muffins are in the oven. Should not have put candy corn in muffin.

30 minutes on the bike reading Where'd You Go Bernadette, hilarious book thus far. Did random things with arm weights for 10 minutes of it, actually felt like a workout.

Um seriously?  Men may face felony charges after toppling Goblin Valley formation. May face?!? I wouldn't be surprised a bit if nothing happened to the man and he continued to be a boy scout leader... Another glimmering example of why the state should take over federal lands (sarcastic).

30 minutes on the work bike reading a new study protocol where we take out people's brains, mush them up, and then inject them back into their leg. It is a little more scientific than that, but that's the gist.

I miss running. Crabby. Baghhhhh.

A chilly ride along the Colorado River before cheering on the finishers of The Other Half. Just a little bummed that I wasnt able to run the race, you think I would get used to that feeling and give up by now :)

Stationary bike plus new arm weight biking routine. My arms are going to get super buff while my legs wither away into nothingness.

Snuck out of work for a bit this afternoon for a ride up Emigration in the lovely fall weather. Glad I have stopped feeling sorry for myself and am getting back out there even if it is on a bike. I have three weeks to get back in some sort of shape and build lots of muscles because apparently the more muscle you have the greater the chance it won't all melt away!

Saw my hip surgeon today and yup, surgery is on and I CANNOT wait to get it over with. Funny visit though since he didn't seem to remember communicating with me over email and setting up my surgery so when he examined me and looked at my images he thought surgery was the best next step and then I was able to surpirse him with the fact that I was indeed on his schedule in 2 weeks. I feel good about our plan and what we have learned with my other hip and happy that he didn't think my cartilage was in as rough of shape as the radiologist thought. To quote the neurosurgeon I work with, "Radiologists are idiots!" Lots to do these next few weeks!

My next 6 months, but substitute "wolf" for "cotton."
