Saw my hip surgeon today and yup, surgery is on and I CANNOT wait to get it over with. Funny visit though since he didn't seem to remember communicating with me over email and setting up my surgery so when he examined me and looked at my images he thought surgery was the best next step and then I was able to surpirse him with the fact that I was indeed on his schedule in 2 weeks. I feel good about our plan and what we have learned with my other hip and happy that he didn't think my cartilage was in as rough of shape as the radiologist thought. To quote the neurosurgeon I work with, "Radiologists are idiots!" Lots to do these next few weeks!

My next 6 months, but substitute "wolf" for "cotton."

There was a nugget of excellent news in there. Does that "lots" include Christmas shopping? :-)

Oh crap, I didn't even think of Christmas shopping. It was more like painting my toenails and cleaning my bathroom and other assorted things I won't be able to do for 2 plus months :)

Did you find that by googling "staying under a blanket for 5 months"? :-)

Aimee I just got caught up on your injury! I'm so sorry you have to have surgery, but really glad that its happening soon and you'll be on the road to recovery before long. Please check in on FRB and keep us updated on your recovery!

Good luck with the surgery. Considering all of the health issues you have had to deal with you have an amazing attitude. Heal up soon.

Thanks Scott! This is the last hip surgery EVER. Just glad it is behind me and I can concentrate on healing from here on out!
