Today we did the extended mountain run.  It was a good time.  Last week I didn't get too much running in because of scout camp, but I got a lot of hiking, biking, and kayaking. Scout camp was a lot of fun but we lost a guy in the river so we had to call search and rescue.  We found him and he was just down stream from us.

Today we only went 6 miles.  It was really tiring.  I don't know why I felt so tired because yesterday wasn't that hard of a run.  It was a good time though.

Worst run ever... I felt so exhausted.  I don't know why I felt so dead but I did.  We ran to russell's house since he didn't come so we got him out of bed and got him to run.  Then he led us to some trails but the leaders didn't listen to him so we blazed our way through thorn bushes. Then we kept going and went up a little bit of hogs hollow but turned around and headed back after 4 miles.  It was so hard.

Today we ran down to the golf course by lone peak and went up that and went over by the wall. Then we headed down by Healey and went back on the trail.  I felt good the first 2 miles then I felt awful. Then when we were at 3.7 miles we were on a single track trail and I was in the front so I had to go fast and then it just kind of got me going again and I felt good going fast.  We went back pretty fast so overall it was good.  My shins hurt a bit though so I will ice them.

Today we ran the Black Trail.  It is relatively flat.  We ran at an average of about 7:15 pace because most of us are doing a 4th of July race.  It hurt though cuz my legs still have been hurting so hopefully I can do well in the race tomorrow.  I am going up to do the Kaysville 5k so I think that I will be racing a bunch of the Davis kids so that will be fun.

Good luck to everyone running a race tomorrow.

We had the Kaysville 5k with my family today for the fourth of july.  It was fun.  I got there and saw a bunch of Davis kids were racing so I was bummed cuz that meant I wouldn't place as good.  We started off and there was a pack of 4 of us that went out plus some little kid who sprinted the first 100 meters.  We had already started to seperate a bit by about 400 meters. It was Justin Holt, Camren Todd, Logan Mckay, and me.  Justin holt is some 29 year old that was sponsored.  After about a mile in it was just us four then Justin and Camren went farther ahead and Logan and me were together.  They stayed ahead the rest of the race but at that time Logan was leading me.  Then I pasted him trying to catch the others but they were too far ahead.  So I was about 30ish meters ahead of Logan for the rest of the race and I finished about a minute behind the winner.  The course was a bit long but just barely.  My shins were hurting a bit but not a ton until I jogged the course again and then my shins hurt so I only did 2.8 mile cool down cuz I cut the course a bit on my cool down. Then my family went to my uncles house and did a badminton tournament which I won.  So that was fun.
