My new nick name shall be Iceman! Holy fridgen cold! I ran 4.5 this morning in the 24 degree weather. Its harder to climatize yourself when you havnt been running and just jump into the cold temps. I have to start slow with 40 degree and work my way down. I ran a 7:50 and a couple of 8 even and then a 9. Wow my legs are tight.

Well I woke up sick still but had committed to run with Danielle this morning on the park trail at 9800 s. I started out feeling like a slug. Then after 2 miles my legs started feeling tight and then at mile 4 I felt like quitting but didnt. We went North at the start to see how far the trail has progressed. We made it about 3/4 of  a mile which is nice. It used to stop right there off of 98th. Now its close to 9200 so.  We then turned around and ran all the way to 115th s. where the trail ends there also. Then came back to 98th. It was a total of 6.3 miles but felt ok. I had a bit of pain but not enough to worry that im hurting myself. It was brutal cold on that trail! It felt like it was in the teens. Cheers all!

Had the family party last night at my house and had a huge sleep over.  I got to bed at 1 last night knowing I had to sleep because I was running at 6 am this morning. I met Danielle, Bill, Misty and Charity at the park trail on 126th and ran south for 4 miles. Ive never run that direction before. It was really nice and the wind didnt affect me as much because its down in the gully more. I had fun running at an extremely slow pace that really wasnt that hard to pace. Our average was 10 min mile pace but we walked for about 2 minutes at the start and we stopped to take our layers off which took a few more minutes and then on the way back grabbed our clothes and had a good conversation. Very fun. Im glad im back. My legs were sore after 6 miles but Im just glad to be able to run right now.

I heard a song in the car ride over that said "Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavement." I will dub that my song from now on! Im going to look up the author right after I log this. Very true! Cheers all and if your so inclined, look at my fridays blog for kicks. If you look at burts week, he has me looking like Gilligan, but in my pride I have to say Nicholas cage is a better suit. lol
