What a fantastic weekend!  On Thursday night, Tim and I went to see the comedian Brian Regan.  I'm not really into comedians - occasionally, I will watch a Seinfeld episode and chuckle, but  that is the extent of it.  I had low expectations - I had bought the tickets for Tim's Christmas present.  He loves Brian!

It really was funny.  There were a few jokes where I did have tears rolling down my face.  One of the funny parts of the evening is that Brian is constantly laughing at himself during the entire show.  It was very clean and we had a great night.

Friday night, we went to see the "Blind Side" at the dollar movies.  OUTSTANDING!  Sandra Bullock did a great job.  After the movie, I said to my husband, I hope that our kids are interested in a sport.  I don't even care if it is running, just something where they feel like they belong; are a part of a "team" (being active is an added bonus too).

Saturday morning, the kids and I went to cheer on Tim at the Rex Lee 5K.  Since he is not a blogger here, I will give his report.  His work sponsored the employees.  We saw him  shortly after the start and cheered him on at the finish.  He ran a 30 minutes and change.  He wore too many clothes and was roasting. He ran with some of his work buddies.  I love cheering on runners (I would have really liked to run, but it is the next best thing).  I will post the picture of the race once I figure out how to do it :)

I LOVE the BYU track.  I flew out to meet Coach Shane during my junior year in high school.  It was a turning point in my life and running career.  It was fun to see it again.

Today's workout was okay.  I did 45 minutes on the stair climber (5.25 miles).  My ankle was feeling a bit achy, so I thought I would get in the pool to swim.

Unfortunately, the pool was like 25 degrees.  Brrrrr.....  I only did 350 meters (10 minutes) and had to jump into the hot tub to get my blood moving again.

I am suppose to run on my ankle to tomorrow, but am going to wait until Monday.  I'm getting excited, but I think I still have a long road ahead.

Oh, you are so lucky!!! We love Brian Regan, we watch his stuff every time we run the Ragnar relays! He is so funny! And Blind Side was a great movie, you have had way too much fun!

Congrats to Tim (this time of year it is hard to decide what to wear---we ran the gamut of weather today!)

Watch that ankle!!! you are being super smart about it, we could all learn from you!

Hope the rest of your weekend is great.

You've sure had a busy time, but it all sounds like fun.

Good job being smart about the ankle.

What a GREAT weekend! CONGRATS to Tim! I'm excited for you to start running. Here's to 100% ankle on Monday!

Hi,

Thanks for the comment. I loved the movie The Blind Side. Such a feel good movie! What happened to your ankle? I have also been having some swelling behind my achilles tendon which has been annoying. It is not my achilles, but a little sac of fluid that is causing some issues.
