My ankle felt really good after yesterday's race - this totally surprised me! But I didn't want to run on it, so I hopped on a stairmaster.

I've been thinking the same way lately when my calf starts to bother me (or I have a pain free run). I figure it must be a fluke and I x-train the next day just to make sure I don't hurt myself more.

No early bird for me, either!! I used to do it every year, but people have just gotten too mean and I refuse to fight for good deals. Also, in case you all have not noticed, the sales are really not that great anymore (i get better deals before Thanksgiving and right before Christmas!)
