Sprint day at the gym (my favorite workout) :) Bike: 20K, 38:58 (Kilimanjaro/4-6) Run: 5K, 22:25 Swim: 750 m, 15:xx * First run in my Brooks. Have not formulated an opinion on them yet. Only 4 mm heel-to-toe drop (pretty significant difference) and a roomy toe box. Very comfortable arch support. I could tell that my calves were working more. Probably not a shoe for someone with achilles issues (I have never had them ... knock on wood). Should be interesting to see how my body responds to them as I gradually introduce them into more miles. ********* SO GET THIS: Today at the gym I was trying to hurry and jump into the pool to start my swim. I threw my little waterproof ipod onto the outer cement edge while I put on my cap and goggles. As I went to grab my ipod I noticed a HUGE STINKIN' BOOGER dangling from one of my earbuds. NASTY!!!!!! I seriously about hurled. Whomever picks their nose and leaves their boogers for others to discover has some seriously disgusting, nasty, incredibly icky issues and is in need of some serious treatment. Even after washing the earbud I was unable to force myself to stick it in my ear (and hence swam with one earbud dangling behind me). I am about to gag right now just thinking about it. ICKY ICKY ICKY!!!

1 mile by myself 15.6 miles, AP 8:34 with Matt (The Running Professor) and a little bit with Rob D. .5 miles by myself at the track at the rec center. I wanted to run 17 today but fell just a tad short by the time I had to leave to make it to Oliver's game in time. Luckily, when I got there I had a few minutes to hop on the track to get my mileage where I wanted it. My first 50 running mile week in about 6 months.

12 miles before Oliver's game, AP 7:34 (This about killed me. Subsequently I have no desire to try it again anytime soon). I was so thankful for the few lights that I had to stop at. 2.6 miles from Oliver's game to Payton's game, AP 7:38 (wind at my back). I worked out really hard this week. I am dog tired. :) **Wore my Pure Flows for the first time outside. Mixed review: They make me feel light and fast but they seem to be a bit harder on my legs. My feet feel achy now that all is said and done. Hmmmm ...

The most miles I have ever rode continuously on the bike. :) Had to get through a pile of notes before my test today (which is definitely easier to do on a stationary bike than on a TM). 4 miles Arrived in Moab just in time to get in 2.5 hours of mountain biking before the sunset. :) Rode part of the steelbender/flat pass trail and around Ken's Lake. Was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous.

| 4 hours riding the XTERRA Moab biking course and a little extra. This is an insanely TOUGH course. In fact, many of the pros have said that this course is the toughest of all the XTERRA courses. After riding it (and walking portions that were far too difficult for me to ride) I have made the very judicial decision to NOT make this XTERRA race my first (as I had originally planned). I do want to race it at some point, but not until my technical riding gets MUCH better. It would just be a recipe for disaster under racing conditions.
