Get back into shape and lower my running times (5K and 10K in particular).

Run a half marathon and possibly a marathon.

Still be running 20+ years from now.

Personal:

I ran cross country and track in high school in good old Indiana and at Valparaiso University in college. I've been married for 17 years now to my beautiful wife Kathleen. We have 4 wonderful kids, and I teach physics, astronomy, and earth science at Lake Land College in Mattoon, IL.

The legs felt okay today. They are still hurting, but they are getting better. Total time was 20:21 (8:08/mile).

My legs almost felt normal starting out today, but then I could feel it in my knees still after I ran for awhile.  Total time was 30:25 (8:27/mile).

Ran to the church to help shovel the sidewalks, but discovered that someone else had already done it.  I waited around for the other people to show up to tell them that we didn't need to do anything.  Then I continued on my way.  I ran down Reynolds to 22nd, but instead of heading home on Harney I continued around the parking lot loop.  It was a good run.  The legs felt about like they have been for the past few weeks.  Total time was 35:43 (7:56/mile).

It was a good run today.  I got up late and didn't have time for a very long run, but the legs felt better.  Total time was 20:32 (8:12/mile) for 2.5 miles.

I didn't get out for a run today, but I helped someone move from the 3rd floor of one apartment building to the 3rd floor of another building.  It was a pretty good workout.
