| | 1:19:14 AP 9:54 I tried to run fast because I got up a little late and needed to get home fast. My last mile was the fastest and just a slight downhill at the beginning of the it. It always the hills during the first half of my run that bring my average down. Those darn hills! The battery on my garmin is dying :( I charged it last night and it's about to die. Is this the end of my garmin? I spent the entire day in Park City at a soccer tournament and walking around the outlets. Fun!

| | I went on the 2nd year girls camp hike with my daughter and her friends, etc. It was between 4 and 4.5 miles to Lake Catherine from Brighton Ski resort. Passed Lake Mary and Martha on the way. It was beautiful! I wanted to keep going but we had to come back:(

57:40 AP 9:37 1 mile WU 2 miles intervals. 1min hard run and 1 min jog on an incline that turns into a hill. I need to go to a track but I still never have. Maybe someday. 3 miles GP Had to get home to get Lizzie off to camp. Jane left yesterday morning straight from cheer to go on the 4th year hike in the Uintahs. Hope she's having fun! They'll be gone all week. I'll miss them. Oh and 3 sets of 10 handstands in between planks of 2:00, 1:30 and 1:00

I'm just so glad it's over! Good job Erin and Lysa! Erin's first 20 miler ever right?!!!! Congrats! Amazing sunrise this morning! We were up by Granite park hearing the rooster crow and seeing the beautiful horses and the sky was amazing! Beautiful behind the mountains.
Here's what the commentator for the women's olympic marathon said as the women were approaching the finish line. Your ability to run/finish a marathon depends on your "CAPACITY AND WILLINGNESS TO SUFFER!" So true. I need to change my blog mantra to this because I'm certainly not feeling namasteish since yoga has gone out the window this summer. I think that's part of the reason why I'm so sore from the knees down.

Ran 8 ( 1:24:01) this morning and walked a 1/2 mile home. I also did YOGA (52 minutes) today! It's a miracle! I don't enjoy my running as much without my yoga. Namaste.

| | Still slow but faster than yesterday. There was a guy running with his dog who turned in front of me as I headed to an intersection. He had great form and looked like he was wearing slippers. I talked to him at the intersection while waiting to cross. I asked him what he was wearing and he said Run-a-mocs. I asked how far he runs in them and he said the farthest was 17 miles. Said he ran the steeple chase race in them, trail run. I noticed a hole in one shoe at the toes. He said he tried vibrams but didn't like the way his toes weren't free. Interesting. Amazing to me that he can run in those. Cool. 30 handstands. Held some of them for 10 seconds. Plank X3 at 2:00, 1:30 and 1:00

3:40:46 AP 10:02 I ran alone and ran a 5 mile loop 4 times around here. Lots of ups and downs. I then finished around the hood. I'm really glad I'm done! Super excited for tapering now! Well, on Saturday's at least. This was my highest mileage week. I think it's funny that my highest mileage week is Allie's lowest. I remember reading her schedule she posted after running Deseret News in prep for Top of Utah. After a week of rest she was starting out at 40 something miles I think. Amazing.
30 handstands at 10 seconds each. Planks in between them at 2:00, 1:30 and 1:00

| | HILLS. 9 minutes of hills. Ran around both parks again. While running through the neighborhood to Flat Iron I spotted a $5 bill on the road. Score! I feel kind of bad keeping it but...what would you do? Jeff says I could give it away to someone else. I could do that... Bryan Kest Power Yoga 1-50 minutes Still have sore legs and feet from Sat. run. Pain in my left foot, the ball of the foot and pain spreads to toes:( It got a little better during the run but had to go slow.

| | 1:20:49 AP 10:06 I've had a lingering cold/sore throat that is slight but makes me tired and achy. It was a nice morning out. Didn't look so smokey. The days feel shorter. Fall's a com'n. I walked .60 home. Beautiful morning. Did I already say that?

| | 8 miles with Jeff. I needed a new route so he took me on one even though he was only going to run 4 today. What a nice guy! We went north and down to creek road and Crest wood. Then up creek and over to country club and up toward buffalo but turned on street before that and came down home. We finished before home and walked a little. It was nice to have a partner and no music. I'm sick of my music. Got an e-mail this morn about fires and the salmon marathon. The air quality is "moderate" up there as of this morn and they are letting people forward their registration to next year if they want. Bummer if there's yucky air up there for the marathon. They also said that as of today, the race will not be cancelled. WHAT??? It might be cancelled??? |

8 miles and was home in time (6:40am) to see Jane off to her first day of high school! Can't believe it! I remember filming her after her first full day of first grade and making her tell me every detail. I doubt she'll let me do that after school today :( Beautiful weather this morn. Beautiful stars. I was supposed to run some mp miles and intervals and whatever. I was realizing that for this marathon I'm happy with my mp being anything under 10mm. I can't believe I'm whining about running this marathon when my friend Betsy is running the Wasatch 100 that same weekend. AMAZING! Bryan Kest Power Yoga- 50 minutes of PEACE HARMONY BALANCE STRENGTH, ETC. WITH NO ONE ELSE IN THE HOUSE BUT A SLEEPING JOSIE!!!!

| | 1:32:35 AP 10:18 Got up at 4:55am to wake Jane. Then ran 1.5 around here and came home to see her off. Then finished up in plenty of time to get home for other kids. I'm super excited to be running less from now on. My foot needs a rest. Now my 3 yr old is ready to race around outside on her scooter so I'm taking my bike so I can keep up with her. I'm quite sore right now. Nap today. I definitely have not been getting enough sleep.
