Great race!  I started that thing WAY too fast!  I need to remember to keep it cool at next week's race.  Sideways wind was the battle, and that big hill at about mile 6.5.  Experienced "Runner's High" on the last descent to the finish.

Loved meeting a bunch of you from the blog...way to go everyone!

I ran another 4 miles!  I had to hit 60 miles this week.  That is most I have ever ran in a week!

Great run, especially considering the wind and hills!

Welcome to Riverton, where the wind never stops!

Bec, you are so fast!!!! Now it is official, right? Man, just watching you run was amazing. You made it look so darn easy, like you were not even trying and just out for an afternoon stroll. Great job and congratulations on that MEDAL!!! Good luck next week.

Maybe now you see another reason I run on the treadmill so much. Way to go.

Rebbeca, it was hard not to go fast at the start with that wind pushing us down a slight decline. You did great. Races with wind are extremely challenging especially for me. It takes a lot of strength its almost like running up a hill from mile 4-mile 8! Chalk it up and we'll see you out at the next one!

From Bec on Sat, Mar 28, 2009 at 20:42:35 from 67.177.35.60

Thank you everyone! That race was not an easy one, but enjoyable!

Kelli,

You are fast! You were right behind me.

RivertonPaul,

I love TM's. I spend so much time on them, I practically date them.

Walter,

Great race man...you are stinking fast. I want to know the ways of more speed...

From walter on Sat, Mar 28, 2009 at 20:49:11 from 76.27.13.75

Bec, I will be your mentor! haha there are lots of things to help you with your times. seeing less of your boyfriend (TM) and ramping your weekly mileage up will help alot. Just dont increase your mileage more than 10% per week. You dont want to injure yourself.

From Bec on Sat, Mar 28, 2009 at 23:10:19 from 71.219.100.181

WE ARE FAST, right?

From Kelli on Sat, Mar 28, 2009 at 23:12:45 from 71.219.100.181

OOPS, that last comment was me, not Bec. I was not thinking!

From Burt on Sun, Mar 29, 2009 at 02:01:49 from 98.167.151.26

That first comment of Kelli's made me laugh because I was going to say the Bec is officially faster than Kelli. LOL. But I'll answer that question: yes, you gals are fast!

From Bec on Sun, Mar 29, 2009 at 02:16:26 from 67.177.35.60

Walter,

After Boston I will be ready to take a new approach to my training. I am willing to give up my bf (TM) and start putting in some good speed work and more miles.

kelli,

You make me laugh! I read the "WE ARE FAST" comment and became really confused. But yes, "WE ARE FAST!"

Burt,

Thank you for agreeing with Kelli.

Ok Bec, sounds like a plan! I know its hard to dump someone thats kept you warm and happy for the winter, but wait till you see what can happen when you do! lol ;)

From RAD on Sun, Mar 29, 2009 at 02:24:57 from 67.166.99.8

Becca, it was fun to see you again this morning and you did an awesome job on that race! I can't believe you got 4th overall and 3rd in your age group...That is one competitive age group you are in!!! Hope to see you again soon...oh, do you think Riverton will transfer my registration to Provo so I can RUN a 1/2 with you??

From Bec on Sun, Mar 29, 2009 at 02:47:51 from 67.177.35.60

Walter,

You are right, TM has kept me warm and happy for the winter. I still might have to make time for him.

RAD,

Dang it! I wish you could transfer your registration down to Provo. I think you should run it anyway. P.S. Your baby was way cute today.

Nice race! Looking good for Boston!

From Smooth on Sun, Mar 29, 2009 at 20:06:07 from 71.36.65.79

THANKS so much for the ride. It was so fun hanging out with you. You did AWESOME!!! You beat your Spanish Fork 1/2 by seconds. Can't wait to see how you do in Provo. CONGRATS on taking 4th overall. You're in the "elite pack". Yes, you and Kelli are super speedy. You're SO READY for Boston.

From Bec on Mon, Mar 30, 2009 at 11:21:37 from 205.123.38.98

Thanks tarzan, jeff, and smooth. All of you motivate me to keep running strong.
