This race gave me the chills.  I was happy last week I raced in the wind because the territory I ran on was no unfamiliar zone.  I don't mind running in 30 degree weather at all, it's the wind that kicks me.  I was happy that they changed the direction of the course from last year.  There was one hill, up an overpass right at the beginning.  The course was nice and flat, hopefully a fairly good warm up to Boston.

I was pleased with the overall race.  My goal was to come in under 1:40.  According to Garmin and the clock, I did not do that.  I still don't know my actuall CHIP time.  If it's under 1:40 I will be completely satisfied, as of NOW.

As for later, there is something inside of me that wants to be stronger.  One of the reasons why I love running is because of the challenge it gives me.  In the next few months I want to test my speed.  I really feel that this is the time for me to improve.  I am willing to sacrifice.

This was a pretty big race.  I was pleased that I got to take home a medal.  Last year I ran this same race, it was my worst half marathon time ever.  I beat that time by 15 minutes!!

I don't feel completely ready for Boston.  I wish that I would have done a few more long runs.  But I feel like I have improved in the last few months.  2 weeks baby.

YEEE HAAWW! (thats my best country holla' for you :) You did such a great job! We were running in Lehi and YUCK for the weather. If I remember from online, the course didn't go north much - more e-w direction. That was the hard wind part for us, going North! Under 1:40? I think you deserve it! Only 3 seconds over is SOOOO close that I think it should count, plus a medal! DANG GIRL!! I can't wait to hear about Boston. I know you don't want to push it now, but when you get home your endurance will be so good you can start kicking out FAST paces and picking up speed overall (not that you need it by any means!!)

Great job again today, and I hope to see you soon!

Thanks rad! I'm sad that I missed the "gang" today. Sounds like you girls were going pretty crazy out there in the snow/wind mix.

You would've been bored with our slow pace today :) Or just eaten extra muffins waiting for us, which you would just regret later anyway. So, you probably chose the right place to be this morning. If you had to run that is, if I chose what I wanted it would've been a warm cozy bed! :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You took home hardware AGAIN, two weeks in a roll!!! A 15 min course PR is HUGE!!! I am so PROUD of you!!! This is a tough race with a bigger field and in crummy weather. That 1:40 is SWEET!!! You are more than ready for Boston. You're gonna rock there. I have a hunch that you're experiencing a "break through" and your speed is gonna improve greatly this year. AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!
