Today was the most exciting morning I have ever had at work!  All of my students came storming down the hall to tell me they were soooo happy I was back!  They were so cute.  So many of them asked me if I had won the race.  I had to tell them I didn't, but when I pulled out my medal, they all about died.  They were so proud of me.  It's nice to be back at work.  Well, as for now...

My left leg is still hurting a little, no running today.  I did weights for about an hour today.

Later I cycled for an hour.  Wanting to run in this warm weather...

I'm glad you made it back safely.

Hehe, your story reminds me of that book, "Miss Nelson is Missing". The rowdy kids had the mysteriously mean "Viola Swamp" as their sub, and so when Miss Nelson returned, they were very, very grateful to have her as their teacher.

I hope your leg feels better soon. Rest is good.

HOW FUN!!! I miss teaching, the kids can be so cool!

Sorry about the leg, take care of it.

That is such a confidence booster! You should have told them that every Boston runner is a winner!

Jeffers,

haha! My students are familiar with that book! There is a substitute at our school that reminds me of Viola Swamp. The kids beg not to have her...They seemed pretty happy I was back. So many hugs. Awww, they are tender.

Kelli,

Teaching does have it's rewards. Sometimes it takes going away to realize you really enjoy the students you have. (At least for me).

Walter,

You are right, every Boston runner is a winner. Anyone that runs a race is a winner.

I can just picture the kids swamping you with excitement. You must be their most favoritest teacher. Hope your leg heal up fast. An hour of weights? Wow, you're buff!

Isn't teaching the most REWARDING JOB out there, I love it?!

Wait, are you a teacher, too??

I didn't know you were a teacher too Mrs. Fit. Teaching is a marathon itself. I try to keep up with the exuding energy my students deliver. It is very rewarding, I love hearing "Miss Rampton!" when I walk down the hall.

Are you living in Vernal right now? I so wish we could have met up and trained together. Sounds like we would be a great fit with each other. I ran Boston in 08.. loved it. Love your blog... I will be back.
