The "IT" feels better when it is warmed for about a mile.  I think that if I keep it nice and easy, it will stay cool.

I think that later I will run another 5 or so miles.

Has anyone ever felt like they are dragging a piano behind them as they run?  The last few days have felt this way.  Maybe it's because my body isn't used to the decrease in miles.  I just feel really sluggy.

I am on day 2/week 3 of the PC.  I am kind of going on my own schedule, so it might take me a little more than 6 weeks to get to 100.  Today when I did my push ups I felt like someone was sitting on my back.  I did them anyway!  25, 16, 18, 14, 28.

One of the things I like about teaching dance is I get to stretch!  Yesterday I had most of my classes practice their yoga stances.  As I listen to all of my students cry becuase of the pain they are in, I still mange to breathe deep and relax.  I am one mean dance teacher :).  (It's good for them).

I went to the gym in the evening and did another 5 miles.  I followed with the stationary bike.  I journeyed down to the weight room and did reps and reps and reps for my arms.  They were really tired from the push-ups earlier in the day, but I worked my arms and core HARD.

Glad you figured a way to keep the IT happy. Yah, most of the first miles of my runs are dragging a piano attached to a king-size bed.

I needed to be in your "dance" class yesterday. It's good for me! Ahh, feel the s-t-r-e-t-c-h!!!

Oh yea been there done that. Great job on the PC you did it. It is tough but pushing through it will really pay off. Just make sure that your form isnt breaking down. Your going to have to go to Ogden Marathon with the rest of us to show of your sexy arms because of them:)

I'm a piano man. Most definitely. Also, I wasn't fortunate enough to have a stretching teacher as a little one. Haha, I can hear your kids crying in my head. They are lucky, though, to have a Gumby pro. I don't know anyone else that is more flexible than you.

I didn't know you taught dance! How fun, is it a drop in class or a class class? I would love to come to a 'yoga dance' class...I'm not coordianted enough to really dance. Great job getting those miles in even though you weren't feeling it. I usually feel that way after I've had a few bad eating days in a row...or after a 20 miler :)

I love the analogy! I have felt like I was dragging a sleeping elephant, in fact, I feel that way often!

Great work and take care of the IT! That stupid band is just a nuisance to runners.

Smooth,

All of the stretching does make my leg feel better. Even if I have to hear these students complain all day, it's worth it.

Huan,

I am not running the Ogden Marathon this year. I am training for Boston. But I am sure there will be another time I we will be able show the "guns" off to each other.

Jeff,

I am not the most flexible person. Slowly. it is all going away.

RAD,

I teach dance at an elementary school k-5. I have one of the most rewarding and exhausting jobs anyone could ever think of. The kids keep me on my toes.
