One of those days... Last night I played a crazy game of water polo with some guys in my branch, it was a FUN game, but it made me so tired today.

Woke up at 7, starting running around 8.  Ran 3 miles to the LHS track, did some speed work while the X country girls were working out.  It was nice to know I could do 400s at the same speed or faster than they were doing them.  Ran around in the grass a half mile without my shoes on, felt really great, sat in the sprinkler because I was so dang hot, and snuck into the school to find a drinking fountain.   Ran a slow pace back home.  All in all I did a 7:53 AP.  (I didn't count all of the breaks I took). The last big hill up to my house I continually repeated to myself, "pain is temporary, pain is temporary."

I WILL get to the gym later to do Xtraining.  The upper body feels a little fleshy.

*Went to the gym in the evening and did some lifting, including my legs.  ( A lot of reps).  Ran a quick mile around the track.

Bec,

THAT's an awesome run!!! Which hill did you run to get home? Killer hill or Center St.? WOW, you're a WOMANIMAL!!!!

So COOL you can run faster than the Xcountry girls. I'll bet they were so impressed by you!!! The last time I was there, they had a PVC pipe contraption thingy for water. But I always bring my own water bottle plus a towel too.

You have muscular flesh!!!

Nice speed work..a 7:53 AP with a 'slow' home, yes you are a speedy lady!! I love that I've beat by 3 minutes my x-country friends best 10K, I may not be fast, but I'm faster than someone who thought they were the bomb in HS :)

Thanks for today!! I'll read your report soon...well, when you wake back up and post it :)

HAHAHA RAD! What are you talking about, you had an extremely fast 10k that you kick the pants of a lot of high school Xcountry girls.

I am awake...there is a post. Heading over to your blog now.
