Whoa- I think that may be the longest break I've taken from "the blog".  I have been really lazy and loving it lately. Not sure what my problem is?! (no I'm not pregnant).  Anyway- I actually felt like running today for the first time since last Friday, so I just took it easy- no watch.  I'm guessing from my slow pace I got in about 3.25 mi. at about 9:30 pace.

It was a delightful afternoon, warm (high 70s) but the breeze made it enjoyable.  I'm starting to rethink my exercise goals.  There's just so much I want to do! I love to be outside, but I also like weights, spin & I want to add pilates.  We'll just see how it goes.  For now, I'm focused on a new 5k PR next month at Run for Kids and we'll just take it from there.

I also (finally) started a family blog and I'm having to split my online addiction between both places!

Another change- I'm seriously thinking of changing careers.  I've been doing mortgages for over 10 yrs (15 if you count part time while in college) And its served me well.  But as you all have heard (and read) in the news - the industry is drastically changing.  Think it may be time to do something else.  I've kinda wanted to change fields for a couple years, but I hung in there because it was convenient, good money (not to mention my loyalty to the family business).  Now its tougher to make money in this field (I spend my days bashing my head against brick walls trying to get deals done).  I think its time to jump into something new.  I have a bachelor's degree in Psych and always wanted to use it in some kind of counseling area.  You can't do much without a master's, but I have talked to a friend who work for the state and I'm trying to get a job with her.  Should be a challenge- don't get to work from home, etc.  Not to mention the emotional challenges of working with families in need- but I'm up for the challenge!

Actually felt like running today.  Maybe I've just been recovering from Spectrum 10k the last couple weeks?  Just didn't expect a 10k recovery to take so long.  Anyway- 4.25 on nice flat Little Valley loop.  Warm & beautiful today.  Spring in St. George may actually be here to stay.  How come the best running frequently comes at the END of the run, it takes me like 3 miles to warm up and get in the groove. Last mile was under 9 min miles.  Would like to see more of those.  9:19 av. today.

Weight lifting class today. Really enjoyed it.  A different time & teacher than I usually go to- fun to mix things up.  Hopefully I'm not to sore to get in a good run tomorrow!

So I've quit using the sleep monitoring, one less thing to keep track of.  But let's just say, I'm getting plenty of sleep (hee hee) Plenty of sleep- except for today, of course. I got up at 4:30 to meet friends at 5am.  The boston girls were running a 20 miler, I just hung with them for 11 (9:37 av. pace).  No need to torture myself that much right now since all I have coming up is a 5k in April and 1/2 in May.

I felt good on this run, great company as usual.  Hope I can fit in a nap so I can stay up past 8pm tonight, this run is going to make me tired!

My baby (Arielle) gets baptized today! Fun day- family & friends in town.  We'll probably head to the new splash park, then baptism tonight.  Jim gets to give the talk on Holy Ghost, should be entertaining... hee hee... Just glad he answered the phone (and not me) when the guy from the stake who assigns talks called!
