Whoa- I think that may be the longest break I've taken from "the blog".  I have been really lazy and loving it lately. Not sure what my problem is?! (no I'm not pregnant).  Anyway- I actually felt like running today for the first time since last Friday, so I just took it easy- no watch.  I'm guessing from my slow pace I got in about 3.25 mi. at about 9:30 pace.

It was a delightful afternoon, warm (high 70s) but the breeze made it enjoyable.  I'm starting to rethink my exercise goals.  There's just so much I want to do! I love to be outside, but I also like weights, spin & I want to add pilates.  We'll just see how it goes.  For now, I'm focused on a new 5k PR next month at Run for Kids and we'll just take it from there.

I also (finally) started a family blog and I'm having to split my online addiction between both places!

Another change- I'm seriously thinking of changing careers.  I've been doing mortgages for over 10 yrs (15 if you count part time while in college) And its served me well.  But as you all have heard (and read) in the news - the industry is drastically changing.  Think it may be time to do something else.  I've kinda wanted to change fields for a couple years, but I hung in there because it was convenient, good money (not to mention my loyalty to the family business).  Now its tougher to make money in this field (I spend my days bashing my head against brick walls trying to get deals done).  I think its time to jump into something new.  I have a bachelor's degree in Psych and always wanted to use it in some kind of counseling area.  You can't do much without a master's, but I have talked to a friend who work for the state and I'm trying to get a job with her.  Should be a challenge- don't get to work from home, etc.  Not to mention the emotional challenges of working with families in need- but I'm up for the challenge!

I think that you would be fantastic as a counselor - you are very easy to talk to! I think that you would do a wonderful job and should go for it!

Very nice run - That was me today, nice and easy, just for the joy of running!

Wow that is so exciting about your career change! You can make such a big difference in someone's life in a job like that. I think you'll make a great counselor! You can help real estate people through their emotional breakdowns. It's perfect! :)

Fun about your family blog. Are you going to post a link?

Too funny- yeah, I'd be seeing some realtors and mortgage brokers for sure! Jim is all weird about me putting the kids pictures online (understandably so) even though I've gotten away with it a few times on this blog. So my family blog is private for now- but I want to share it with you & some of the other FRB. I wonder if the "private message" function is working now? I'll try to PM the link to you!
