Warmed up for about 45 minutes (give or take a few) around the Laub. I only survived because Lexie, Justine and Vanessa and I talked for most of the time and goofed off. Felt pretty nervous for the workout coach had emailed to us: 4x1600, 4x800, 2x600!

Started the workout off with the 1600's: GP 5:44. Did the first one in 5:48, got a 4:00 break, then ran the second in 5:48. As we lined up to do our next one, coach gave us a most welcome surprise and told us we were done with our 1600s! Whew. After a 10 minute break, we started on our 800s: GP 2:44. Times were 2:45, 2:44, 2:44 and 2:44. Right on, but hard, especially on the last couple. Finally we were on the 600s: GP 1:51 (1:14 per 400). 1:54 and 1:52 for those. Man, did they KILL. I just about passed out on the last lap of each of them.  I have no idea how I would've handled today's workout had we done all four 1600s!  But it went pretty well and I'm excited to race again this weekend. Cooled down 2 miles in the snow back home. Brrr. (DS 59.5) (M spike 37.3)
