Last night I was reading my blog posts for the 3 months prior to my Boston 2010 Marathon. I had forgotten how much I did in preparation for that race. It inspired me to kick things up a notch and start doing more than just running. 
 

AM:  Core, Lower body, Jump rope

PM:  5 easy miles, 100 degrees

Lunch. 1 mile walk 

PM. Very hilly 7 mile run with 2 x 2 mile at threshold effort. 
1000 ft elevation gain. Avg altitude 6500ft.

Mid morning run. 88 degrees. Legs still tired. 
10 slow miles. 
Then swam laps for 10 minutes. 
Also played soccer with my boys in the afternoon.

2 mile warm up. 8 x 200m fast with 200m walk recovery. 1 mile cool down. 
Then core. 
Then 18 holes of golf with my boys. It was a nice way to spend the Saturday before Father's Day. It was really hot though.
