No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Boston 12:00pm

5 mile fun run with the author of Born to Run- Chris McDougall, and Ultramarathoner Scott Jurek. Fun, but so cold! We weren't going fast enough to generate any body heat. Great conversation at such a casual pace though. I'm actually considering barefoot running for the first time.

Now that had to have been cool! Please tell how that all came about! And get the race report up, I am dying to read it!

I might do a race report tonight, but it's kind of a pain on my mobile phone.

Highlights(or lowlights depending on perspective): I almost had to drop out because of my foot :( and I enjoyed a nice cold beer received from a generous fan while I was walking off the pain. No part of the weekend was anything like I expected, but it was still AWESOME! Lots more to share later...

Looking forward to it....no rush!

I was pretty sure, from watching you online, that you had a foot problem at one point (second to last 5k split they gave us). I kept refreshing the page and saying, "OH NO, where is he????" I was even late to an appointment waiting for the update!!! ;o)

It is interesting to be watching the results and trying to figure out what is going on from the other side of the country. BUT glad to hear you were able to walk and drink it off and I was able to see that you recovered to finish the race. Bummer about the foot, but hopefully it is ok now!
