This week is a reduced mileage week for me, I have been pushing it pretty hard for about 5 weeks so I am taking it easy this week. I plan on doing around 6 miles a day and then a 10 miler on Saturday and most days will be very easy.  I ran the Payson park loop but cut it short and then I headed back to my house, I passed Michelle going the opposite direction and I thought she might come and run for a minute but I never saw her again... My average pace was 8:50 with my heart rate average at 130 total time was 53:20. I was really happy with my heart rate and how low it was for the pace, this tells me that my fitness is coming into check and that I am improving which is a good sign. I had a few aches and pains today but they seemed to go away after a few miles, hopefully with the reduced mileage this week they will all go away!

I also did the standard upper body weight training, low weight with high reps.

See ya tomorrow.

I ran out to mini GU corner, out and back and I have to say that my legs felt like crap! these last few days they have felt like I am continually hitting the wall, but today was the worst. A couple of times I just wanted to stop and walk and if it hadn't of been for Mack passing me with bout a half mile to go I probably would have stopped. But after she passed me I was able to pick up the pace and finish, so Thanks Mack for helping me through even though you didn't even know that you did! This is one thing that I can't understand about my legs is why they don't seem to get stronger and then I have to wonder if I'm not getting enough protein after each run to recover and help heal the muscle, I very seldom eat breakfast... Any thoughts and comments from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Average pace was, 9:05 with my heart rate at 127 total time was 54:38 I did keep it nice and easy, but it was sure tough and it didn't feel easy!

See ya tomorrow.

I took the day off today, sorry boys and girls but I felt like I needed a break! I have a sore quad muscle and a sore groin muscle so I decided to take the day off and see how it feels in the morning. I could of run today but with all the injuries going around I thought it might be prudent to listen to my body, so I did... I will be good to go tomorrow.

See ya then!

I ran out towards Payson Park and then headed home and then did a couple more around my house. My hip flexor is still bothering me and my ankle started to ache around mile 6, I stopped for a minute and then the pain goes away and then after about a mile it starts to ache again so I don't know what that is all about. I did have one marathon pace mile in there, well close to it at least 8:05, My average pace was 8:32 with my heart rate at 141 and my total time was 1:08:36... I hope these little aches and pains go away soon I don't want them to turn into something worse and keep me from running for a long period of time. I did see Michelle and Mack out this morning trotting along kicking butt, I thought about turning and running with them but I just wasn't feeling real chipper this  morning and I didn't want to slow them down!

See ya tomorrow.

I waited for the rain to clear this morning for the simple reason that I am sick of running in it! It turned out really nice around 10:00am and so I headed out, I wasn't to sure how my hip was going to handle it but it felt pretty good so my goal was 10 miles and try and keep my heart rate up for part of it. So after a 2 mile warm up I started to increase my pace just a bit each mile those splits went as follows; 8:24(140), 7:54(154), 8:11(146) felt very easy, 8:11(149), 7:45(155). I then ran 3 cool down miles to finish out the run and my average pace for the entire run was 8:27 and my heart rate average was145, total time was 1:25:17. My ankle started to bother me towards the end but it felt better for longer on this run than it usually  does so I don't know if that is a good sign or not. It will be good to have another rest day tomorrow to give both my hip and my ankle time to recover. I watched some the 5k over in springville and I think I saw Michelle warming up, and then it looked like she was in 3rd when they came around where I was watching, I hope she did well. I also saw Tom and Kim and some other runners when I was headed back to my home and they were braving the rain, boy was it coming down, they looked drenched!:-(

Well, that's about it for today, back to regular mileage next week, at least I hope I am able too.

See ya then.
