This week is a reduced mileage week for me, I have been pushing it pretty hard for about 5 weeks so I am taking it easy this week. I plan on doing around 6 miles a day and then a 10 miler on Saturday and most days will be very easy.  I ran the Payson park loop but cut it short and then I headed back to my house, I passed Michelle going the opposite direction and I thought she might come and run for a minute but I never saw her again... My average pace was 8:50 with my heart rate average at 130 total time was 53:20. I was really happy with my heart rate and how low it was for the pace, this tells me that my fitness is coming into check and that I am improving which is a good sign. I had a few aches and pains today but they seemed to go away after a few miles, hopefully with the reduced mileage this week they will all go away!

I also did the standard upper body weight training, low weight with high reps.

See ya tomorrow.

Clay I think reduced mileage weeks are great! Should be just the thing to get your legs all purky and ready to go again next week.

Hey Clay, I would have turned around and run with you but I had to stop and stretch--Dr's orders. I am sure I'll be seeing you around though. Let me know if you'd like me to pace you through a tempo next week. It's so much easier to do one of those when you have someone there to account to.

Sounds like you are training smart and are starting to see the benefits. Great job, Clay!
