I ran three miles this morning. I wanted to time a 3 mile run to make sure that I can still do 3 miles at a 6.30 pace, which I did. I increased my 2.5 mile time by 3 minutes since the last time that I timed it which was in August. I ran today's 3 miles at 19.20 for my final time. I want to break 19 minutes at the Running of the Leopards so I still have a ways to go. My knee was hurting during the run today, it wasnt a pain that I was used to. It felt like a FAT person was sitting on my knee while I was running. It felt really weird. After the run I went back to my house and did weights. I did leg weights, crunches, squats, push ups, and planks to get some muscle on my chicken leggy body. |

| | Today at track practice we just did a good steady paced fun run. I went out slow because I wanted to make sure that I could go the entire run non stop, which I did. We did the Shriners Drinking Fountain run. I ran there with some friends at a rather slow pace so when I got to the drinking fountain ahead of them, because they walked up the big hill and I ran up it, I waited for them then I decided that I felt really good so I decided to go back really pushing it as if it was a race. I did the last 2.5 miles at 15 minutes something seconds which is a new PR for me. I felt really good today so I really pushed on those last few miles. Before the run we did 8 100 strides with the rest of the team back at the school. I did those way fast, I was really pushing it, We had to do those with high knees and good strong arms. After the run I came home and did some weights on my legs, crunches, and pushups. While watching the XC slideshow!!!!!!!! |

| | Today East High didnt really have school, because the juniors were taking the ACT. So my drivers ed class decided to have a range day and go driving. I finnished the driving early so I went up to the track and ran some laps. I did 8 miles at the track because I need to do 30 this week and thursday I might not be able to run. I did a 3 mile warm up and then I stretched. I was done stretching so I decided to do 2.5 miles more because I thought I would stop at 5.5 for now and do the last 2.5 at my house later in the day. I decided to do the last 2.5 miles to make it a total of 8 because it was still early and my sister was still taking the ACT so I couldnt go home so I finnished the last 2.5 miles. I havnt done a run that long in a while. When I got home I went in and studied physics and did all my core, crunches and push ups and did the leg weights. |

| | Today at track practice we had a speed workout. We started out with a mile warmup with a mile of speed changes, then after the speed changes we did some stretching. We then started the speed workout. We did a 400, 800, 1200 meter timed. My 400 time was around 80 seconds which is pretty slow for now but it was OK. My 800 meter was 3:03 minutes which is a 6:06 mile which is way slow but its the start of the season and we werent pushing these. I wasnt even tired after these. The workout was mainly to run hard with good form and not to worry about the time. My 1200 time was 5:12 which is way slow but again we werent pushing these hard. After those I was at 3 3/4 miles so I decided to do a 1 1/4 mile cool down to get an even 5 for today. My knee was yesterday during the 8 miler but when I started to run it didnt hurt at all today. |

| | Today was just a easy run to finnish my miles for the week. I went to sugarhouse and did 4.5 miles because thats where I wanted to be by tomorrow. Todays run was a very weird one. My legs didnt hurt I dont think, they were just really heavy and had pressure on them. Which is weird because I rested yesterday and didnt run because I had to go to physics after school and then go to peer court so I couldnt work out at all. Overall today was a horrible running day. Today I went to sugarhouse park and saw almost my whole team. When I came home I ate pizza then did my leg weights, crunches, push ups, and after I did those I did 5 strides just to loosen up my legs (or at least try to). |
